Many lenses are compatible if they have the F mount. Auto focus lenses will not work because the needed battery and circuity is not in the camera. You have a wonderful camera, enjoy.

Echoing that. There are several ways to go:
Use a general light reading and open up a stop or two, this works but is the least accurate
Meter off the palm of you hand and put that in Zone 5
Meter off the clothing and place than in the right Zone area
Use an incidence meter
I use 30 seconds to a minute. As long as it is 30 seconds that is enough but it is ok to go longer without a problem. I tend to let it go for 1 minute.
The closest Walmart is over 40 miles from me and in the past they would throw out the negatives. I would not take a chance on that happening, so I take my film to Samy's Camera.

Better yet drop the digital and move to film. One can buy a lot of film for the price of the top of the line Nikon or Canon and so new lenses. Now how about quit trolling?
I usually carry my Hasselblad with the 80mm, 50mm and SWC when we travel. On a few occasions when I will not want to spend time on photography I will carry the Nikon N75 for color C41 film and the Nikon F100 for black & white film when we travel.
I have now trimmed down the gear for the trip to the 509 CX with the 30mm Fisheye and the 903 SWC. One at a time or maybe both at once but that would have one of them in the backpack at a time.
Filter Find was the first place I went. I even talked to him on the telephone about 95mm filters of which he had none, they go really fast, and Nikon Bayonet Filters for the 13mm, 15mm and 16mm lenses. He did have cases for the Nikon filters, but not the original ones.
