Hello from the OC

Hello!
I am from the OC in California. I am an amateur photographer, in the sense that my grandfather left me his Nikon F with the 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor-s Auto lens. So here is hoping I can enjoy it and make sure it is working.

Be sure to exercise the camera through it's entire speed range a few times if it has been setting unused for an extended period. These mechanical cameras need to be used on a regular basis or they tend to stiffen-up and won't give optimal results.

Try 5 exposures per shutter speed several times while watching a movie or something.

Might have to do it by yourself, or someone might throw something at you for the noise! Ask me how I know...
