Thanks for the link cya, that review is really helpful. Turns out I have a couple cameras he liked, the Canon 110ED 20 and the Minolta 16 QT. And you are right, he did say the Rollei A110 needs those perfs to function properly and cock the shutter.

Hi Patrick Robert James, so you can use the Rollei A110 with unperforated film, like the Canon 110 ED, that's good to know. The prices for the A110 are pretty steep right now, so I think I'll wait.

Cholentpot, not sure where you are located, but B&H Photo here in the States has 16mm B&W film in single perf in 100 ft rolls and 400 ft rolls.

If one stock piles film in the freezer like I do, then one does not worry about out of stock stores. Just the latest discontinuations.

The issue I've always had with 16mm color film is the RemJet on the backside, which will destroy commercial film processing machines (not including the motion picture processing houses). So you can't send it out to be processed, without really upsetting the company you send it to.

Just checked, B&H Photo has Kodak 7222, Double XX Black & White film in 16mm single perf, 100 foot rolls and 400 foot rolls in stock currently. I shoot a lot of that.

I have Plus-X and TriX in 16mm which I do shoot. Color seems to fly off the shelves faster though.

Well this is a bummer... I loaded a fresh cartridge into one of my A110s, put in a battery. Pushed the battery check button - green light on - all good. Snapped away, not really paying attention. Even though a couple of them were in dim conditions and I should have noticed that the shutter sound was way too short. See where this is going? Yup, the battery died somewhere between me loading it, and me taking who knows how many pics. The camera will still make a click noise sounding like the shutter opened, but it doesnt with no or dead battery.

Not sure if it is worth developing cuz pretty sure I may only have one or two pics on it... With a 'new' battery - the check light is good again AND (this is how it is meant to work), the green light in the VF comes on after exposure showing all ok. I had forgotten about that light...
This is what happens people when you don't use a camera in a while!

Nope. I don't recall seeing the green confirmation after the shot coming on at all, so pretty sure it's gonna be a blank roll.
Gotta order some new S27 batteries.

Not saying it's impossible. Just that it's a challenge, especially for people who apparently don't process their own film, so presumably have less practice handling film and cartridges in the dark.

Bummer Huss, is that store bought film or did you load the cassettes yourself with 16mm? 16mm reloaded cassettes work pretty well in my Canon 110 ED, and the little Baby Diana, but the lenses of the Baby Diana are truly lacking. The Lomography 110 cartridges/cassettes break open pretty easily which makes them ideal for reloading.
