How old is that Fuji Superia? I thought most 110 film was discontinued many years ago (except for Lomography, which keeps cranking it out).

Superia (at least in 35 mm) keeps long past expiration at room temperature, likely better in camera store cool storage. I've shot some within the past year that expired fifteen years before and it was fine.

While I must have contributed to this thread in the past, don’t have time to search for response. With regard to the threads title, of course when compared to a 35 mm negative, subminiature loses. However, when compared to the smallest 35s such as Olympus XA and Rollei 35, a Minolta 16 or Minox 8x10 is much smaller and unnoticed in a pocket, so it’s possible to always have a film camera available. As a generalization, my experience has been that despite a smaller negative, Minox provides better controls than 110 and Minolta 35;and results in a better negative, as well as being more pocketable.
I have never found reloading Minolta or Minox cassettes an onerous task. For me, much easier that rerolling 120 tp 620.
Of course, if planning a photographic outing, any larger camera, 35, MF or LF is a better choice.

I plan outings to take along 110 cameras.

I bring the Auto 110 along to embarrass the family. And I use the camera like I'm doing a Nag Geo shoot. Meter, tripod, put on all the gear...then pull out tiny camera.

for a long time the rollei A110 was for me the smallest full featured 110 camera, I compared some of these here https://www.subcompactcam.com/110_size.htm ...until I came across the voigtländer vitoret 110el https://www.subcompactcam.com/110_voigtlaender_vitoret_110el.htm which is slightly smaller. I also have the pentax auto 110 with all its lenses which is fun, but it's a toy.

if you take a simple konica lexio 70, you have a similar focal length range without changing lenses in a small body as well, but you have 4 times the picture surface https://www.135compact.com/konica_lexio_70.htm

just to illustrate: the 35mm konica has the size of an agfamatic 6008 and is smaller than the canon 110ed. who thought that?

Compared to the Rollei A110, the Vitoret has a much slower lens (5.6 vs 2.8), only two apertures, fixed focus, plastic body.

Not sure how the Pentax Auto110 is a toy compared to the Vitoret, seeing it is far more advanced and capable.

As for mentioning 35mm cameras? I have a few tiny ones. But who cares? This is the LoFi section, devoted to LoFi! We shoot 110 for fun and the challenge. We get that other formats can give better quality etc.

oh, obviously I missed something. this thread is about image quality, mostly showing good quality images. I have quite some of these 110 cameras and I really try them out. the results of the vitoret were in no way behind those of the rollei. on paper they are different, but IMHO it's the results that count.

I did not compare the vitoret to a pentax 110, I compared the pentax to the 35mm konica. and imagine: I still use my pentax 110 and yes, the reaction of the spectators is amazing...

Let's get back to posting pics! I have a roll I'm going to drop off. Fukkatsu 110 - hopefully this one is good. Results roll to roll have been variable.

I bought the Fukkstuff just for the case and backing paper. The film was ok, nothing to write to the cows about.

Anyhow, you guys inspired me to load up the Auto 110. I Slit a roll of 500T and loaded it up last night and have been shooting it around the 'hood today. I'm loath to say this but I think color works better for 110 possibly. I can't seem to nail the aesthetic that I'm looking for with B&W 16mm. It's a look that I like but it's not what I've been looking for.

I while back I printed a few images from the Rollei. Images were decent. Still a fun camera to use. This one was on Fuji microfilm. Printed with a Focomat to maybe around 5x7. If there was an easy way to perf film for the Rollei I'd probably use it more. I still would like to pick up a 16mm camera one of these days just so I can use movie film.

Baby Diana 110, 12mm lens, Kodak Double XX, processed in HC-110

Okay image quality at very close distances, but really falls apart past five feet. Will try the 24mm lens and see if that's any improvement.

Nice results; XX with flash is a good choice for a submini. Those shots showcase the same optical characteristics of the larger format dianas on a smaller negative which additionally accentuates the filmstock, processing, and digitization.

Awesome!
Does it have a PC sync?
Maybe set it up with a Norman 2000 and some soft boxes. :D
