Some blow-ups and some 4x5 contacts on Emaks.

My first round of lith printing. Really difficult late-night grab shot neg on ilford 3200. Even after selenium toning the neg, still was spot bleaching prints to get it to pop. Lith really worked. But this is the end of my truly lithable paper, it's getting very hard to find paper as I understand...

Printed a few 5x7 platinum prints of my boys last night -- possible senior portraits.

8 photos on some old Bergger CB (Forte) paper.

My first 616 format shots-- Verichrome Pan expired in 1978 in the Caffenol-C I mixed up last week. Quick impression: Love the format, don't love the exposures. But I've never used this camera before either, and I'm trying to teach myself not to need a meter, so who knows which is at fault? Anybody got any hard data on VC Pan in Caffenol-C? I found 10 minutes but am open to suggestions. Oh well, there's always next time, and a shutter test, and an exposure test..........

nosmok (maximizing operator error, as usual, in a misguided attempt to build chararcter)

I got ten 8x10 negs developed last night -- almost 15, but this cold has me beat!

Platinum printing tonight...(helping a friends get the process down, but might do a few of my own!)

2 rolls of HP5+ in 120 in replenished D-23 for 7 minutes.

2 sheets 8x10 Ektascan
1 sheet 8x10 Delta100
1 sheet 4x5 EFKE IR820
1 roll 35mm Eastman Double-X
1 roll 35mm Delta3200@1600
2 rolls 120 Delta3200@1600

All in DD-X 7 minutes sheet and 8 minutes roll.

The times for some of the films are for a test and do not necessarily reflect my normal developing times or behaviors, all important film was souped at the proper time.

17 rolls and about 30 sheets (4x5) of various C41. Mostly Reala/Portra160/Pro160S. And now I am in scanning-hell.

That's where I'm at as well... I hate scanning now... Ugh, I wish I never knew what a darkroom was ... It's a far better thing to have never loved a darkroom than to have loved and lost one.. I've learned this recently...

63 4x5 papers and film negatives
in coffee/dektol

After a 20 year hiatus from the darkroom:

4 - 5x7 sheets of Tmax 100 from a box dated 1993.

I did 3 exposures of an outdoor scene on each sheet by partially removing the dark slide between exposures. 2 sheets received normal development in 1:2:100 PMK pryo for 13 minutes at 68F. 1 sheet received 1/2 the N development time and 1 sheet received 2x the N development time.

6 - 5x7 sheets of the same film for film speed tests. Unfocused photographs of an 18% gray card placed on Zone 1;
These were also developed in 1:2:100 PMK pryo for 13 minutes.

Film was developed in open 11x14 trays using 3" PVC tubes.

Although the film seems fine, i will order fresh film - probably 5x7 FP4.

Now to load more holders and make pictures in the yard!

Stuff down by Potanipo Pond

Taken with a Kodak No. 1 Autographic. I think I have a new very small light leak in the bellows that I'll need to repair.

Old Tmax 100 in arista premium developer. I shot it at ISO 25 to compensate for the age. So my exposures were all like 4 seconds at f/7.7 (bulb setting, 4 second count).

Unknown FB paper in PolymaxT

Adolph Rapp abt 1880.jpg
This is from a glass plate negative taken by Adolph Rapp in Glasgow, Kentucky abt. 1880.
I have taken on the project of making prints from a collection found in the basement recently.
An honor and pleasure to participate in the history of photography.
Wm.
