Great results there Tony, love them both. There's a certain smoothness of tones that I find irresistible in MF film shots.

Out of interest, is this the Apotar lens? Incidentally, I've just gotten hold of a Record II myself yesterday, and I hope it will complement my Isolette I nicely.

Would you happen to know where to source a hood and case for these 6x9 folders?

Thanks, yes it is the Apotar lens, not clinically sharp but sharp enough, and coupled with the lack of coatings it gives me a real retro look that I love. Incidentally I had to boil the lens on this one in a pan of water to enable me to focus with it, because the old grease had seized the elements together, it works fine now. I have two of these, the other one is a Billy Record Rangefinder which came with a case which fits both. Ebay would be your best bet, I haven't managed to source a hood myself yet, so I just shoot it without, as you can see it's remarkably flare resistant without one. I hope you'll enjoy your Record II as much as I enjoy mine.

Certo Super Sport Dolly, Meyer Görlitz Trioplan f/2.9, f=7.5cm, Portra 160. Unfortunately, I've discovered it has a light leak that needs fixing.

A few test shots with my recently acquired Agfa Record II 6x9 folder after cleaning / de-gunking of the front lens element and focus recalibration. It seems I have a light leak. Shame - I like the camera's form factor. Might go for a bellows replacement.

Hi hsandler. Nice shot! I just picked up a Franka Rolfim I with the same lens. Can you tell me what filter size you used?[/QUOTE]

It was a Series V filter. The adaptor into which the retaining ring screws slips on the lens and has a 32mm inside diameter with slightly flexible "tines" forming the annulus of the slip on portion. They can be bent a bit to fit looser or tighter on the lens.

Thanks, hsandler. I have a couple WALZ yellow filters (Y1, Y2) coming- 32mm slip on. Should be able to make them work. Step 1 is disassemble the lens and see if I can clean the fungus out (sunlight helped a little). Step2 is shoot a roll with a cable release unless I figure out the release mechanism and can fix it. Step 3 is look more into the release mechanism.
