Hey Dag.bb,

Not a premanufactured one, but I did make my own, after perusing my collection of over a hundred lenscaps. I ended up with a Schneider large format cap (marked SN 223/26-57@) which will almost fit into the interior rear threads and friction-fit tightly. Cut some slots with a razor blade, and it fits tightly. The extremely rear-protruding cell on the 180mm F3.2 made it necessary to get creative.

I dislike the Fuji GX680 front caps, they are cheap IMO and easily fall off, very aggravating. Threw them away, and got nice 86mm & 95mm black plastic clip-on ones from China for the front caps. I store my lenses in ziploc bags to protect them from dust and it does provide some protection from scuffing during transport to shoots.

Please post some more photos here. Always glad to get responses. What you are doing is very interesting.

And... Here is the Fuji GX680 80mm F5.6.
It's strictly a closeup lens on the Makiflexes.
But it would be great on my Sinar Normas.
Looks very sharp on the ground glass, but the rear cell tends to hit the mirror.
About 30 feet fully retracted in with the Peco Jr recessed board.
At about three feet focused I can fire the shutter. It's very wide on this camera.
Still it's worth a hundred bucks.

Not too much new to report. But today I did receive another Seiko Shutter from Japan. I will happily pay a hundred bucks for these. This one came with a 180mm F5.6 Fuji WS with bad front cell. I had difficulty removing the front cell it was really on there. With a rubber clamp set in my vise, I finally wrenched it apart. Now it holds the Fuji GX680 180mm F5.6, the f/stop band is perfect ready to go for this one. It's done and beautifully functional, shown on the right. Both of these lenses are useful to me.

On the left (for comparison) is the Fuji GX680 180mm F3.2, note the size difference of the front cells. The F3.2 takes a 95mm filter, most of the other Fuji GX680 lenses take 86mm's.

Here i have loaded my 70mm Beatty Coleman Transet Back. It uses it's own special film spools, which luckily are in the back. Instructions say you can load it in subdued lighting, but you will lose some frames. So I loaded it in the darkroom and it went OK.

Here is the back loaded with 55 exposures of 70mm unperforated Efke R100. It is attached to my Makiflex Standard. The lens is a Fuji GX680 135mm f5.6 Fujinon which I hacked to fit the Makiflex cameras.

120 film spool wrapped with four go-rounds of plain old duct tape, results in perfect frame spacing with Plaubel Makina #3 roll back. An easy solution to a vexing frame spacing problem intermittent to the Makina backs. Sure hope this works with the 6x9 backs. Why wouldn't it??

I intend to get out and shoot more as my life starts to settle down a bit.

Same good result from my 4x5 6x9cm Linhof wind knob back. Eight perfectly spaced frames is the result.
These wind knob Linhofs are notorious for intermittent spacing issues. Duct tape comes through, again!

Here is the result of the duct taped spool, with one of my five or six 6x9cm Plaubel Makina backs. These are somewhat dodgy regarding frame spacing, so shoring this up, is HUGE for me. It's quite disapointing to have important frames overlap (especially when you are not expecting it!) The mechanism is rather primitive and archaic, as well as extremely unusual in design. But now it appears to be working beautifully so far.

Make a tick mark on the duct tape, with a sharpie marker, as you wrap it, so that you get the correct amount of tape on the spool. Easy to do.

Here's a 70mm Agfa Aviphot 200 PE1 neg, processed in Rollei Supergrain, at approx EI 100 or so.

Camera used was a Hasselblad 500 C/M with 100mm T* Planar, and Hasselblad 70mm A70 film magazine. Negs were processed in Rollei Supergrain developer, in the Kindermann 70mm developing tank.

The camera shown is one of my Plaubel Makiflexes, with barrel mounted 360mm Schneider Tele-Xenar. The film back is a Beatty Coleman, which will take up to one hundred feet of perforated or unperforated 70mm film, and produces a 6x9cm negative. Probably made for school camera photography. This will also fit my Sinars.

This is an old image, cause I sold the old old Tele-Xenar and replaced it with a much nicer 60s vintage chrome one. Better match to what I am fitting it to.

That Kindermann plastic reel seems to be a "plain" one, thus neither of the Jobo or Paterson type.
Thus it is loaded like a metal reel?

It is actually a " USA made dental x-ray 70mm reel" Only $9 US If you wish I will post the website They have a minimum $50 purchase

It loads as easy as the metal kindermann But only about ten US feet, not the full fifteen

This is a test of the 100mm F4 Fuji GX680 lens, which I hacked to the Plaubel Makiflex. Ilford FP4+ Mic-X dev

In our city "Connell's Hardware" has been a fixture for over a hundred years. I loved to go in there, Ralph Connell knew where every screw and nut and thingee were to be had. Connells had a pot bellied stove for heat, and was the central fixture of the store. One day everybody asked "where is Ralph" and they found him slumped next to the stove. He was 92. Connells has now been converted into the very cool "Vicks Pizza" which embellishes the history of Connells. Here I have crammed the Makiflex into a corner of the locked up establishment, the original sign is even in Vick's logos and restaraunt design, The sign is now gone but sold for big big big bucks.

I just bought this ultra rare original Plaubel Makiflex Automatic Iris Schneider 150mm f5.6 Symmar lens. It is coming from Poland

In thirty + years this is the first one I have ever seen offered by itself. I have seen them seen many times offered with cameras before. This one seems only to be available in Europe; The Symmars are not in the USA Plaubel catalogs. Nor are the Auto Voiglander Heliars.
