Embedded Youtube videos no longer run (for me and some others).
This is about the new general-embedded form ( I recently asked an alternative to). The videos linked to just by URL, before this new form, start fine.

Hmmm OK saw some eclipse pictures in the Latest Gallery Photos, and logged on, and there not available in the Gallery.
So logged off, and they were there again. Sooo clicked on one of them, got notice of bad dog no bone, and so logged in again, and could view them.
Then went to the Gallery directly, and they are not there. Logged in you cannot see them in the Gallery, or as a view shot of the latest Gallery picts in the upper right hand corner.
Is it me or a glitch of the disappearing sun in the new space warp?

I suspect they are digital images and you have "Digital" disabled in the site header next to the PHOTRIO logo. There is also no need to logout, so it sounds like you might be clearing cookies when you logout, setting your preferences to enable all areas by default. Then you login and your "Digital" preference is acknowledged as disabled -and those digital images disappear.

Thanks Peter. Yes, it's basically APUG with hybrid and digital un-checked. Still a lot of tweaking and bug fixing to do but off to a good start

I don't know others' preference, but I would like to see the A, H, and D icons even when I only I only have one option checked. As it is now, if you only have one box checked, its corresponding icon does not appear. Not a big deal; just a suggestion.

Not sure how the new site is going regarding Digital & Hybrid thread increases, (and new subscribers simply because of this), but I can see a lot of new threads with the little orange and blue icons popping up, as well as some older threads from the old forums popping up with renewed interest and interactions from people. It's been quite an eye-opener seeing the three forums partying together under the same roof, with very few disgruntled party goers attending (must be that whiskey I sent to you, Sean - it's keeping them happy!!)

I've been dropping by several of the H&D threads to see what others are saying regarding various topics I find interesting. I initially started looking around just under the APUG banner, but since adding the other two, I'm finding a lot of information of interest that I never actually thought I would - the fact it's all on the one site makes it a darn sight easier to find stuff, so from my (humble) perspective, regardless of what name is in the header (to be honest I couldn't care less!), it's always going to be APUG to me, the only difference now, is that it's allowing some couch surfing from its distant cousins DPUG & HYBRIDPHOTO and they seem to be paying their way rather well.

Keep up the great work - with a 99.9% thumbs up from members, I think you can safely say it was a good decision and if that means the site remains in cyberspace as an active forum. The remaining .1% can have some choice too, either A) adapt, deal with changes and enjoy the forum threads as they did on the old site or B) decide it's all too hard, pick up their bat and ball and leave the game.

Life's too short to be worrying about the colour of the new home - enjoy the party for what it's offering, instead of worrying that the wall colour is not quite white (or is it eggshell, duck blue . . . ???):wondering:

Looks and feels fantastic. Forgive me if I ask for something that already exists, but I would love to be able to set as a default, when "watch thread" is set, that email updates is automatic. I know that not all would need this but I certainly would find it handy. If this already does exist would some kind person point me in the correct direction please?
cheers!

Sorry to be a bother Sean but it IS already set to "automatically receive email notifications when starting or comment on a thread" but I was interested in when I simply wish to "watch (a) thread"; not actually to comment or to start one.

Thanks for the reply too! A shame Australia almost declared war on you guys last week.

AH, maybe this link near the top of a thread? It should say "Watch" or "Unwatch":

Yes that's the one I mean.....my question was about the next popup window AFTER "watching" that "asks" whether or not I want to get email notification or not. I was wanting to have a global setting of "yes for email replies" and avoid the popup window. If it's at all possible.......
Thanks mate,
Sam

Thanks mate! Will do for sure! Maybe we should become the West Island of NZ to avoid all our bad "publicity" of late with dual nationals! :outlaw:

You mean as reminder of what mode you are actually in at the moment?
Not very informative as there may be a listing where by accident only threads of one group appear.

PHOTRIO looks and works fantastic! Great work! But, possibly a stupid question. How do I enable 24-hour clock? Can't quite remember if I had that on APUG, but I don't think so.

Trond
Thanks Trond. APUG did not have this option either. There is currently no way to set this software to give an option of either. Maybe there is a browser plugin that detects any times and alters them to 24hr format.
