OK here's one of my own tho.
When posting to apug (old habits etc) on my android phone the option to "post reply" is second rather top of the displayed list. It's all too easy to hit bookmark rather than post.

I just had that happen to me for the first time (here or at APUG), but it's also the first time I've gone back to a previous page to pull a quote from it after starting my reply on page 2. As pdeeh said, it's innocuous enough, although I'll admit my mind bent a little for just a tiny fraction of a moment.

For the first two days I was able to go to my old bookmarked APUG site and everything was seamless in terms of the old to new site. When I tried to reach it this morning the same way I got an error message. I had to google Photrio of which there seems to be several and APUG Photrio isn't the most prominent. Eventually I got there and had to login. The opening page format is in fact a little different from the old APUG. I take it that for the future APUG is effectively dead as a way of reaching Photrio?

I wonder how many newcomers who have heard of APUG will attempt to join that way and find that all they get is an error without any notification of a link to Photrio and possibly just give up?

Maybe this was all explained and I just never noticed.

There's been ongoing redirect work, but if you open a browser and type in: www.apug.org it will bring you here, and I just tested 10 old apug links on google search results and they all directed to their identical location here. Can you pass on the links you were using so I can have a look? Thanks

    This should be fixed now.

OK. The message says: "URL/forums/archive/index.php/t-4913.html was not found on this server. Additionally a 404 NotFound error was encountered while trying to use an Error Document to handle this request"

If it is of any help in the opening full title box it says https//:tongue:hotrio.com in addition to the forums/archive etc as listed above so the link to Photrio is mentioned but no help is given as to how it is reached. OK I suppose that most if not all out newcomers are sufficiently computer savvy not to need more help should they not realise that typing in APUG will not get them to Photrio

I'd not noticed on the old system, but that's probably because we are all a little more vigilante to help out when there is an upgrade.
When it happened to me the thread was four pages long, and I replied with quote to a post on page two. My reply showed page two. After refreshing the page, the thread was still a total of four pages long.

Most of our comments are on fine details that contribute to the fit-and-finish, the polish, of the site. While they should be addressed, they are not really a major concern. It seems the most important parts that allow people to easily do what they want, are working fairly well. Overall it was a very good upgrade.

Nah - I use my phone for internet access (yeah, yeah, I know...) and often I miss a substituted Ford or one that's missprll.

For Sean: I saw this earlier, too. The icon doesn't show up for the edit post option.. it's there, and if you stab the right spot with your finger you'll get the edit option.

Another thing that doesn't show in portrait mode when using a mobile phone is the "View first unread" button. It worked ok in Apug, but it's somehow broken now.

  16. I keep getting logged out, even though I've re-logged in and checked the 'stay logged in' box that appears when I try to follow the email link to a thread I'm watching. Happened several times today already, but apparently happens when my computer automatically goes to sleep after a period of inactivity and then I'm logged out when I resume activity. Hope this makes sense.

Hi, I can't seem to reproduce this. I suspect you may have some browser security plugins that are wiping cookies or blocking cookies. If you do, try adding Photrio to the whitelist, or tell them to ignore Photrio. Could be Ghosterly Adblockplus etc. If not let me know. Thanks

Ok, working on a big list of bugs that you have identified. We'll squash them!

  19. Adblockerplus was active on Photrio; disabled it so we'll see if that solves the issue.

In case this has not yet been reported:

The "Goto First Unread" button does not appear on the cell phone in portrait mode.

To say something positive: as frequent user from the moment of the change and using a computer on Opera I have not encountered any true technical problem.

That's good to hear. I'm almost done compiling a list of all the feedback. There are quite a lot of mobile/tablet issues and various small glitches but nothing too major. I think in a few weeks we'll be better than ever.

Here's one, but first a caveat: I may have simply missed the post mentioned below (I read a lot of posts), but I don't remember certain replies, so I don't think I did. I could be wrong.

When I view this site, I always use "New Posts." I open what I want to read in tabs, "Mark All Read," then I read the tabs.

Can we follow/watch/subscribe (via reply or otherwise) to a post in an area we do not have enabled and still have it show in "New Posts" when someone replies - even if we don't enable the area it is in? There may be a reason we'd follow a thread yet not want to view all threads in that area. (I think this was discussed before the change-over.)

As an example, I had replied to a post (and have my settings "watch" threads I reply to). It's this one:
    https://photrio.com/forum/index.php...dig-pre-shot-4-film-b-w-visualization.153179/

The thread has since been moved to the Hybrid area, and I don't remember seeing subsequent replies in "New Posts." While that particular thread is not important to me, I can imagine scenarios where it might matter to some (perhaps even myself).

It does show under my "Subscribed" threads. However, the "Subscribed" threads link isn't very helpful to me; the list sorting is based on activity (just like "My Posts" and "My Threads") - not on how old the post is or when I last posted to it. I rarely use these lists. They are often topped with threads I've not posted to for quite some time, simply because someone has posted to them more recently, and it makes finding something specific a bit difficult (and also makes follow-ups, or finding a thread to refer someone to, all but futile).

I'd rather not see all the new posts in a section I've not "checked" just to follow a few threads. I can get around this, as I do this on several sites I am not even a member of (for various reasons), but it does get tiring.

My apologies if it does show in New Posts and I simply missed it.

It likely will not show, but this can be coded up, maybe for v2.0 of the system  which at this rate will not be far off.

First of all: Congratulations on getting this giant task done so well in such a short time. This was just great.

    Suggestions for improvement:
1.) I use an adblocker, I do not like being part of "Big Brother is Watching Me". I cannot log in any more if the google+ tracker is blocked, the log-in window does not show.
2.) I tried an internal link from the good-old apug times, it does not work:

    Thread: https://www.photrio.com/forum/index...lysis-of-moersch-tanol-catechol-developer.68/
    Link included: http://www.apug.org/forums/forum224/129307-moersch-tanol.html

    Result:

The requested URL /forums/forum224/129307-moersch-tanol.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
