Any official update from them since the announcement? It's been five months...
Over on the Ferrania thread there are numerous people endlessly complaining that Ferrania promised a timeline and has not met it's target. I'm sure at least one person from EK or KA has been following that situation.I've not seen anything anywhere. I can understand companies trying to promote forthcoming new products by announcements to build up customers' expectations, and five months' silence isn't encouraging.
If the will is there a huge company like Kodak ought to be able to deliver. A failure to would not look good.
No doubt, we're talking about Italians after all. They work on a more...relaxed? time frame. Slow food, slow drink, slow film. All good.
For sure it is !
Kodak chemistry could be interesting, as 8mm Ektachrome would be marketed by Eastman Kodak, and 35 and 120 by Kodak Alaris. Would each market separate chemistry to it's target users and labs?
Happy that I did not buy a lot of expired Ektachrome 200 some time ago. Means I am forced to support Kodak (And the film industry as a whole) and buy some of the new film. 2017 is both a good and bad year for film.
I can't wait!
Do you think this is just a side effect of Kodak wanting a transparency film for their new 8mm camera?
If Kodak reintroduce Ektachrome only as part of a processing kit and only sell it through one outlet then they're not going to make much money out of it.
