Centuria film was a Konica product, made in Japan, but the brand name was eventually taken over by Dai Nippon Printing (hence DNP on the label). Presumably the DNP version could have been an own-label product made by Ferrania ?

I have unpeeled the P30 labels from two canisters and both are labelled Centuria 200, sold by DNP. I still have some Centuria print film labelled DNP that was made by Kodak. Presumably DNP also negotiated with Ferrania to make film for them, and these relabelled P30 canisters are left over from that venture. I wonder - does anyone know if DNP actually sold film made by Ferrania, or did the deal not go through, leaving a batch of 35mm film canisters left in the Ferrania factory, and now used for P30?

I submitted something (I thought) to a gallery, but I don't see it anywhere. I used the big Share With Us button.

So much to do, even for me... Working on the gallery this weekend.

My card was charged on 4th of July, got the notice in the mailbox yesterday, picked them up today.

I noticed there was a sticker on the canister, and when I peeled it off there was a label for a C-41 film printed on the canister, "Centuria HD" with Italian text. Perhaps some surplus stock from when the old factory was running?

I didn't unpeel the other two rolls to see if they had the same brand cartridge.

Yes - leftovers from the very last production runs.
We most certainly recycled every last canister we could find that was viable. Most of them are Centuria HD, but there were also a number of Agfa APX cans. Several thousand in all!

Ferrania was converting Agfa APX?

I know for a while Foma was packing their films in cassettes that when the label was peeled back said CP-36 and matched the DX code for older Ferrania C-41 film.

Since I don't live in the USA or Canada, my order will ship from Europe.

My credit card didn't get billed so far and I didn't get any email from @FILM Ferrania.

Who should I talk to, Dave?

Hello
I received my film last week and ran a roll through the Leica IIIf with the Summitar lens today.
The film is drying at the moment and looks good, I shot 10 at 80 10 at 50 and 10 at 25iso
I developed in HC110 1-63 using the data on the Ferrania "Best Practices" page.
Once I get them dried and scanned I will post a couple.

Now I used a Patterson tank and reel and when I was rolling it on the reel toward the end of the roll it seemed to start to bind, I pulled it out of the reel and tried again and same.
Has any one else had this issue? I have not had this happen to any other rolls of film I have used.
The film appeared to be in the reel properly when I pulled it out of the tank after developing but there was a slight "kink" at the beginning of the roll.

Get on their website, find the “contact” tab, and send an email to Ferrania describing your problem. I did this when I had a credit card issue and somebody (Dave?) got back to me promptly. The problem was quickly solved and I received my film a few weeks back.

Thanks for the tip. I should have done that, but I keep forgetting.

I have this issue a lot - but I would not blame the film first. I use Olympus OM cameras, which wind the film onto their take-up spool backwards. This means the film wants to bend in the wrong direction when you try to put it onto the developing spiral and it jams, unless it has been wound back into the film cassette and allowed to bend back to normal for a few days or weeks - this bending back would not happen if you develop it as soon as you finish the roll. So, if you have a 35mm camera that winds the "wrong" way, try putting the film onto the developing spiral starting from the inside of the film cassette, that way the beginning of the roll which has the most tendency to bend the wrong way goes into the spiral last. It can help too if you clean your developing spirals and dry them really well, but you probably know this!

Thanks
That makes sense as the leading edge of the roll was curled the opposite way

Ok
I am going to try to up load a couple of photos
this one at 80 and they all seemed a little dark and "muddy"

And one at 25
This one I feel came out the best so far, but this is my first roll and I will probably try Rodinal next

Note these were on the same roll and developed all together, so with some experimenting any speed may work well

IMPORTANT NOTE to everyone who ordered from Film Ferrania. I don't know who is at fault for the error, but in checking my account with my credit card company the charge for my P30 order is showing up as a monthly recurring charge, I'm going to call the credit card company tomorrow but I think it would be a good idea idea for everyone to check their statements. Hopefully it's just an isolated error.

Just finished developing my first roll. It's drying, but the negs seem well exposed and quite "crisp". Nice and contrasty. I shot just one of the 5 rolls I bought - on a trip last weekend in Brussels. Wanted to try it out before I head on a weekend photo weekend in Vienna in late August.

Shot at ISO 80 using full matrix metering on my Nikon F4S (yes, I know it warns not to use a motor drive). Stand developed 1hr at 21C using Rodinol at 1:100. Will post some when they dry and after I am able to have a better look at them. But so far looks promising.

Nice photos Don. Try bringing all of the values down a bit and see what it looks like. I like the EI 80 but it needs to be printed down a bit IMHO.

Hello Chassis
Thanks
I am using an old Epson Perfection 3200 scanner and PS Elements 2 so I do not have much in the way of adjustments
I have found that the Vuescan software has some adjustments and the biggest difference I have found is I am using the Ilford XP 2 setting and the scans seem to be easier to adjust
Anyway I will put the balance on my Flickr and post a link as soon as I can
Here is one I shot at 100 just to get a full range 25, 50 80, and 100

Me! However, you should know first that film is on its way to our EU warehouse now and according to the info from Italy, it's enough to finish all remaining EU pre-orders. I'm just waiting to get a note from our partner that the film is checked in and ready to ship...

Thanks for the reply, Dave. I've sent a message through the website mentioning my order number and everything else. I guess we'll have that sorted out in no time!

First roll. Shot at ISO 80. Stand developed in 1:100 Rodinol for 1 hr at 21C. 1 min agitation at start - inversion at 30 mins:

There's a flickr group for P30 film if you are a user of that site. Nice looking images there. All 12 of them.

There are apparently two groups on Flickr, one I post to has 63 members and 225 shots as of today.
https://www.flickr.com/groups/3270489@N22/

The second has 17 members with 41 posts
https://www.flickr.com/groups/3248247@N21/
This is specifically P30 alpha titled.

There may be cross posting between them and Flickr AFAIK does not allow merging of Groups even if the members agree.
