Not sure where you're going to find any thin base film these days. I need to scour my catalogs see if I can find a actual list for sale of the 51055. Maybe you needed Top Secret spy status 😉

Aviphot 200 is a pretty thin stock, about 0.12mm iirc. I don’t know if that’s thin enough, but it’s certainly pretty thin! A 100 ft spool can fit 150’ if Aviphot. Most 120 films are 0.14mm thick, as a comparison.

I have a 500 foot roll of Plus-X Aero Recon type II. I do have three 100 foot 70mm Nikor reels and tanks, couldn't resist buying them at the time. The Recon film is thin enough, it's also sharp as a razor blade to handle. Severe cuts are possible.

It's in the center of this 70mm pile
Ohhh, I see Aviphot 400N! Have you tried it at all? What were the results like? If it’s good, then I’d seriously consider getting an actual 70mm back to shoot it, as I have gotten yelled at by some folks for thinking about slitting it.

So ... I found out the hard way – the spools are not compatible between the regular Hasselblad 70 magazine with cassettes and the 70-100/200 that has the spools without cassettes 😅

The spools for 70-100/200 have different ends, capable of "grabbing" the short rods of the mag and spin on them. The regular spool from the cassette is on the left, the 70-100/200 specific one is on the bottom right, inserted into the mag ... and yeah, I only got one :D also got an MKWE MK70 back that I can't mount on any of my bodies so if anyone wants that yellow NASA™ wonder – let me know 👌

No not tried it. Bought it from an Aerial Photography place down in Florida, they were direct with Agfa. It was fresh, unusual, and not too expensive. I've heard it's a bit grainy, might be good for some subjects. Definitely intended for Aerial Shooting Type II perforated.

Also bought B&W Aviphot 200, which morphed into Rollei 400. EI 100 is more like it. Bought more from German Dealer that had hundreds and hundreds of rolls.

Are the spools plastic or metal?

Interesting… yeah idk what to do with it. Right now it’s Schrodinger‘s film. If I don’t use it, it is neither good nor bad. No information online about it other than the Agfa data sheet.

And yeah, Aviphot 200 is epic. Even 10 years out, it’s still an incredible film. I emailed Maco about getting some… keep your eyes peeled, it could happen.

The one I got is plastic, and with the way it "grabs" the mag I think they can't be metal – would scratch the magazine easily 😬

So could you have some spools 3D printed? It's amazing how stuff that was just tossed is now gold. 😊

The spools from my plain old A70 backs are plastic. with a metal band, pop on clip, to secure the film to the spool.

Yep, I have plenty of these. OP is looking for spools for a 200 exposure back.

Is it not possible to use a thin pair of larger brass or UHMW plastic disk/washers to allow a larger play of film to be wound onto each spool?

I owned one of these mags along with the data module but sold it. The spools from the cassettes DO NOT work in them so never used it. I suspect Kodak sold special loads for NASA. A different specification from 488. I am now 4000 miles from home but can search my files for pix of it once I get home next year.
Back from travel and searched my files. Only found one pic which is attached.

I will be selling 100 ft unperf bulk rolls of at least one, maybe 2, fresh Svema films, I should be able to get 64, 100, 200 and 400, and I’m gonna see about maybe getting T-42, same stuff as Santa Rae 1000, but no guarantee on that. For more info, please look at this thread.
