Oh I didn't buy it, I was just curious whether they'd sold it.... not trying to buy it out from under anybody. I wouldn't bother to shoot squares on my rb or rz.
Pickled okra eh, okay, I'll have to try that.
Stradibarrius, thanks! Go on and lith your pasta, it might work well. I have two more pasta shots nearing completion; once I have a set, I'll put more thought into how to print them. Maybe albumen is appropriate ... ;)
Another vote for waiting a day or at least a few hours. In the case of D76/ID11, the water that goes in will be warm so you'll have to wait anyway; with xtol you don't have that issue but how do you actually tell when everything is fully dissolved? Unless you strain it... so yes, just be...
Haha P.C. so I guess you don't like the slimy, gluey, green goodness? Actually I add it to gumbo as Dan described, it's great! I also like it fried, dipped in ketchup, mmm! But whether you like it or not, you must grow some: it's such a curious plant, with gorgeous yellow blossoms. The pods...
Definitely try it, but due to the infectious nature of the developing, contiguous deep blacks might be rather tricky. Let me suggest a combination of normal development and lith. I think Richard Pippin (RPippin) has been doing that of late, as well as toning to anchor the blacks.
He's growing up fast! Good to see that you are there making these great recordings as he does.
I have a nutty question for you: have you tried using your petzval as an enlarging lens? If so, what kind of swirls do you see?
Thanks. Marianne, indeed you can put these emulsions on more interesting substrates... but here's the catch. When they come off the instant film substrate, they will have just enough glue to stick partially, but not enough to stick well! So on a textured/fibre paper, you could get a real...
I realize they aren't the same thing, but.... shooting with old lenses and shooting with intentionally degraded modern lenses are also not the same thing ;) Anyway, go ahead with your plans and let us see how it works out!
You should go John! In addition to the museums and Eden park and its Victorian architecture and the botanical garden, there is the interesting old blue bridge and waterfront, and the crown jewel in my opinion: a grand art deco building, the union railroad terminal. Many nice things in Cincy.
Okay. Are you printing optically? If so then perhaps you can produce the desired effects by using a not-so-optimal lens or printing through plastic or such.
The other thing that comes to mind is that if you only want lower contrast, you might just adjust your exposure and/or dev times.
Dennis, welcome to APUG! Stay around and you'll come to love the place. Every aspect of analogue photography is discussed here.
As Art implied, there are quite a few related threads here, and many instant film enthusiasts. They have been keeping us appraised, up to the minute (no, up to the...
Because you have a long and well documented history of implying what somebody didn't say, and then disagreeing with it.
End of thread for me. The O.P. got the information desired. No point in sullying a nice thread.
If anybody wishes to discuss why some formulas have more elements and...
Sorry, I am not going to do your research for you. Waste of my time. There are many, many sites dealing with this. Apparently you have been attempting this argument for many years...

You think coatings haven't evolved in 50 years?
Remember, the copy is of the original 10 element design, not the 'abbreviated' more recent 8-element one.
So with the mamiya you get the superior original design plus modern coatings.
Well the mamiya lens is widely thought to be a faithful duplicate of the original 10-element biogon design, with better coatings. They simply cannot use the trademarked name.
That's true, it isn't optimal, but in a [desperate] pinch....
Anyway, rear filters are quite useful and economical for MF, I use one on my RB fisheye. And if you are using uncoated filters or gels, putting them on the rear may spare you some issues.
Consider rear element filters. At least on my rb and rz lenses, those are really quite small and inexpensive. For LF lenses, you can may be able to unscrew the front or rear element and place a filter there; you don't want to place it right at the aperture, but some distance away should be...
