Consider Fuji's 400H and shoot it at EI 200. Does wonders in the bright sun. A VERY unique look. If you want to shoot it at 400 ISO, just try to overexpose it by 3/4 stop to 1 1/2 stop.
You'll like it.
That will work Just fine.
You don't even have to have in groups of 3 and if you wanted to, you could even use bottle Chem 1 then bottle Chem 4 then bottle Chem x.... Not that you would want to but I'm just showing you the flexibility you have.
The only thing I strongly suggest is keeping good...

Wishing everyone a Safe day!
Jared and I are stuck in D.C. NoVa area and happy to be so. My boy Jared, 13 years old is having a blast. I'm inside in my PJ's all day visiting my friend.
Now, I went outside with my Contax 645 and Zeiss 80 f/2 Planar and came inside too fast. On the lens I...
You know you can use your Polaroid now with 600 film. You need to simply adapt either the small meter with a 2 stop filter or place a filter over the film pack itself. There is a simple method for inserting the 600 pack into the sx-70 with it's little nubs. It's all over the web, just google...
I recently had the same question having built my DR in my garage. I live in NJ.
I purchased a oil filled radatior for $49, electric, and I am amazed at how it heats the room.
When not in use, I leave it on low and about a half hour before I go in I crank it up.
It has a thermostat built in...
Mark, Jonathan and Jose are two of the photographers that I follow, along with Riccis, a member here.
I've been actually studying Jonathan's look as I like it quite a bit for my "type" of shooting. Fuji 400H and 800Z, over exp by a stop or more. JC uses the SP-2500 scanner (frontier) which I'm...
I like the way you think!!
To me, today so many are spray shooting and then slapping on a Action and/or plug-in. I call them graphic artists not photographers. Now, I don't see anything wrong with being a graphic so I'm not degrading anyone, but they are not, in my playbook, a photographer. Two...
Matt, this is exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to download the manual now and study today and I'll post my findings.
Thank you so much. Each of you.
Tom
Bethe, one option for you is to send a roll to A&I and send a roll to Richards Photo Lab and see which suits you. I think they are both excellent but different. It's hard to explain without seeing for yourself.
Bethe, I can only tell you that I have always been 100 pct happy with their development. I would have them dev and print and I would do my own scans, most of the time. Always bang on excellent work. But, like most professional labs, few that there are, expensive.
No doubt, their work is amongst the very best that I've ever seen. I use to have them make prints from my 500 c/m 6x6 and I still think it was the best printing job on Matte I've ever had done since I've shot.
labs. The Santa Monica location will be moving into their Hollyweird lab.
That's the way they put it in an email to me.
Sign of the times? This, to me, is not good for our beloved film passion.
Guys, I don't have a sliding scale but there is one on top.
I guess without TTL I'm pretty confused as how to set my aperture and SS on the Contax as not to over or under expose. I'm assuming it's Manual Flash Photography 101 of which I know nothing about. Yikes.
Thank you for taking the time...
