Can anyone pls just point me in the right direction so I may learn about 8mm and 16mm video photography, i.e., Films, where to buy, how to develop, etc.... starting from scratch...
Thank you much!!!!

hmb, that is one crazy site.
SO, what did you work out with your Pola Back and Contax?
I'm using the Polaroid 600SE camera now, building a Mamiya Universial Press and they truly are optical giants. Really fine and the path to build up and grow the system is amazing. Just ordered a Ground Glass...
MSC, these are very outdated however can still be used in a relative source I think... Don't really know. Someone here will help for sure. I can tell you that if I wait until I have at least six rolls I save quite a bit. I have a single tank as well that gives me 2 135's or 1-220 or 2-120's with...
Bob, you can use, if you have, the Jobo Duo-clips which allow you two (2) rolls of 120 on one reel. Take a bit of getting use to but will become easy.
I've gone thru this until with every combo / dev / film around so If I can help just PM me. If you follow the Jobo instructions for your...
I've tried the usual suspects and either the units are being sold as an entire Lab or the price requested are out of their minds.
Thinking of leasing a new one from Fuji then but wanted to check here.
Thanks
Tom
Aw, I wish I could type better, still in the hosp after a massive back operation (Yey, MiFi )
Ping me in two days and I can help if no one else comes thu. I have the 2300.
Shawn, that's just it, his return policy is based on "his description above" i.e., the light turns on, blinks and stays on. There could be over 1,000 things wrong with this and he does not have to return it.
I use to read contracts every day so I'm really gun shy, but this takes the cake. It...
Read the description of this item. Read it all the way thru and then tell me what you think.
This is why I only want to really purchase thru Apug or B&H.... I wish APUG had the auction software. But it would no doubt be a bear to manage and who want's the headache.
Anyway, read this and you'll...
I have gone over their USA site with a fine tooth comb. I have been in circles on their "Contact" page, the offer no sales support "option" on their voice mail greeting at the main number. HOLY COW.
I am looking at leasing some Pro Lab equipment for my upcoming Wet custom service...
Have to say I'm a bit confused. I have exactly the Jobo 2300 as well.
No matter what dev, e6 or c41 I use I program the program I'm using, i.e., program 9, to the fill amount described on the specific tank I'm using, mine is 730ml.
NO TIME ADJUSTMENT!!!! Now, if the Jobo doc's suggest more then...
Maybe taking a part for appraisal is a goot experience but it's a good laugh also, they really low ball you. But, that's the same with most Trade in places. However if your looking to purchase something you won't pay tax on the trade in value.
And YES, stradibarrious, film gear prices are...
I STRONGLY receommend a 18 pct solution of the sodium prior to they hypo.
Again, ONLY do this right after "processing" the sheet thru the rollers.
If you are looking for a sealed box of 20 sheets I just put mine up on that auction site. The last boxes went on Polapremium for $250. and that is a...
I think it's worth mentioning more, the neg on this film is perhaps the very best neg one can get from ANY film. With the right back you dont have to "process" thru the rollers in the field by simply pressing on the "R" lever and then replacing the sheet when you get home, back into the back...
If your shopping, the 545 will do you the best but all of these will work. HOWEVER, on a standard 4x5 camera. If your doing something off cuff, such as the Polaroid 600se you will need a specific back. I'm selling my last box of 55 now on that web site. The neg's are AMAZING!
Bill, I've had mixed views on that. But for me I don't care because I know what I want. But I think they could be a bit nicer to less expirenced folks asking questions.
To further my old post (there was a url link here which no longer exists) I once again visited B&H last Sunday.
The film area now has a zig-zag line roped off and the line was packed! I once again asked the sales person at the counter and he did indeed confirm the film interest grows almost...
Well, first, if your speaking for the Contax 645 the fuji fp 4x5 films' are no good to you. This back will only accept the 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 pack films by fuji.
But be advised, you will get only about 40 pct of the image onto that 4 1/4 sheet using the contax. I have one as well.
It is a pull...
keith, thank you for your help.
Just as a sanity check and something that is confusing to me is that a) I don't see how you could put the film pack in backwards, I mean the Pack's hard plastic casing is directed towards the back NOT the open film exposure window....
Also, heres where it is...
So I've used this film in other backs no problems.
Now, with my first run, I'm having quite a bit of problems.
When I pull the first BLACK tab it breaks off and no white tab.
Then I open up the back, of course exposing the first picture, to notice that TAB number 1 is in the back whereas...
There is about 1million threads on this topic here so do a search and always try not to cross post. I've always found someone to help me with one post.
Good luck.
