Now I have the last ingredient to make a developer that I haven't used in ages: D-76 😁

I bought a Jobo 1520 tank from B&H - since it's cheaper to get a new one from there than to get a used one from ebay - I broke the lid of mine a couple of days ago (it's quite old). I resisted the urge to buy

great for drinking used developer....

Yeah- you don't want to accidentally confuse the one for the other and end up drinking your fixer.

I don't remember if I told the saga of my Pentax LX on here (long story short - has an issue with the film advance, and getting it repaired will cost $350 and take 7+ months). Well, one popped up on Ebay the other day with recent servicing, reseller warranty, customs and shipping included, for $350. So I treated myself to it. Should arrive Thursday.

A black Pen FT with the 38mm f2.8 pancake lens. Having an issue with the counter I need to fix but it's clean and everything else works well and the price was right. Can't keep track of 74 frames without a working counter though.

Reveni Labs autocolimator. Was able to nail infinity focus (off film) on my Agfa Isolette with a degree of precision that I couldn't achieve before.

Ok- the new-to-me Pentax LX arrived yesterday, and I put a roll through it to test the film advance and it seems to be working!

I replaced a cracked knob on a Calumet Green Monster. 1/4-inch knob screws aren't readily available in Japan, so I bought a “Knob Star” (product name) and hex bolt and nut and combined them. It looks funny, but it's practically fine.

Discovered his signature inside after I got home.

I just bought a Kodak Twin 20 (bottom loading, horizontal transport 620 with bright finder and Galilean finder). Intended fate is to use the film transport in a tea tin camera, possibly interchangeable between pinhole and a lens.

I bought some Arca format frames and bellows from @B.S.Kumar , and carriers from @CatLABS . Combined with a rail, glass and Mamiya mount I already had I assembled a Arca Swiss F-Classic 6x9 dedicated to mounting a Phase One P65+ digital back. My other Arca 6x9 is now dedicated to only film either in 6x9 format, or replacing the bellows and rear format frame as a 4x5 "F-Field". Such a beautiful system.

B+W Skylight filter (when shooting Ektachrome), Hoya Yellow (K2) filter, and Durst Setopla so that I can finally use the 50mm El Nikkor on my Durst Modular.

Good ol' Tri-X. Trying out Rerapan film for the next 127 film day coming up. Ilford rapid fix and Hypam are my go-tos and I love me some vanilla scented stop.

Here is a cheap way to make stop bath. Get regular old white vinegar - which is around 5-6% acetic acid - and mix it 1+4 with water to make a working solution. MUCH cheaper than the factory stop baths.

Cheaper still is to buy full strength (close to 100%) acetic acid.

Mix that 3+8 to make an approximately 28% stop bath stock

Mix that 28% stock 6/oz per gallon to make working stop bath

Just take care to have ventilation and eye/skin protection and avoid breathing in the acetic fumes. Always add the acid to the water, not the other way around.

I haven't bought factory stop bath in 40 years.
