Possibly the score of a lifetime - an R Beard Sole Patentee Daguerreotype lens made by Thomas Slater of London. Serial # 108. Can't wait to get it and put it on a camera to see what kind of image it makes.
That should be quite interesting!

Paid the same contractor who did the construction work in my darkroom to install the light tight exhaust fan and vent grid (so the fan doesn't have to draw through the heating/cooling register, which is likely to be blocked off to stop the darkroom feeling like a refrigerator).

A 100 pack of Print File archival storage pages for 35mm film (7 strips of 6 frames version, good for bulk loadinging for me when I roll more than 36 shots).

I've been buying way too much stuff since being shut in the last couple of months. Most recently I picked up a Hasselblad 50mm Distagon lens and a Nikon 105mm AI lens. I also picked up a couple of Bay 60 Heliopan filters for the Hasselblad. And lots of photography monographs (damn you Amazon!).

An ironing board - for what may end up as a vain attempt to put together a temporary darkroom in the bathroom in our new place.

Matt, you might want to consider Closetmaid wire shelving vertical runs in your bathroom, so when you need hard points for darkroom kit, you can simply install the shelve brackets, put on the shelves, which can be solid, instead of wire, and do your work.

You might want to secure the shelves for a session with cheap but strong Harbor Freight zip ties, but a wire cutter make disassemble fast and only cost pennies each time you put it up.

I have used these units in three studios and workshops and will continue to do so, because the are strong and they work well.

Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion eli, but I'm not in a position to attach things to walls.
Our old bathroom was well set up for temporary set-up and take-down using custom cut wire shelves across the tub, but this one isn't.

Today I did as thorough a cleaning as the construction of the device will permit on my (vintage 1998) scanner, and it still wants to put streaks on everything, so I solved the problem the eBay way: I bought a used Epson Perfection 4870 and, since they didn't come with it, a set of film holders for it. Same film scanning capabilities as my old Agfa Arcus 1200 (35mm, 120, and 4x5 in holders, 8x10 on the bed glass), but four times the resolution, 4800 ppi instead of 1200. Still lower pixel count from 35mm than DSLR scanning, but much easier to use..

Next payday, I plan to get a 110 adapter (which will work with both of the Minolta/Kiev 16mm formats), a 126 adapter (which will work with the occasional roll of cut/respooled 828 that I put through my Bantam RF), and a 127 adapter. My old 9x12 adapter should still work in the 4x5 carrier that comes with it.

You can do some ironing while you're waiting for the prints to wash:laugh:...

Processed a couple rolls of 6x4.5 today -- and realized, after they were hanging to dry, that the only 120 negative pages I can put my hands on quickly are 6x7. So I ordered a package of 6x4.5 pages, but apparently Amazon lists these, but they're fulfilled by Adorama, and they'll be a week. Looks like I'll be sleeving these rolls in 6x7 pages, then...

Which pages, and how many negatives per roll?
I have Printfile pages that have three vertical columns - five 6x4.5 negatives per column.
I have Printfile pages that have four horizontal rows - four 6x4.5 negatives per roll.

the ones I ordered -- the only ones I found in a quick Amazon search, probably should have looked at Freestyle, B&H, or Adorama directly -- were single negative pockets, four rows of four. Same general layout as my 6x7 pages, except actually enough pockets for a whole roll (most of my 6x4.5 cameras use the red window, so 16 on a roll -- haven't finished a 6x4.5 roll in my RB67 yet, so not sure if it'll get 15 or 16).

Ain't that tedious to handle all 6x4.5 or 6x7 as single negative frames? I never saw such archive pages, but I noticed that even though I get three 6x7 negative stripes in one row of a page, I only get two in the holder of my Epson scanner. So I have to switch stripes more often than with 6x6 negatives before and to me this is already a big increase of work

Lens hood for a Canonet QL17 Giii. 'No name" bargain from ebay. I like the vented hoods with cutouts and have them on my AF Nikkors. Light weight, very well made for the price and £2.60 delivered from China. How are they able to do that ? Gotta love em.......

I will not argue with the inconvenience factor of handling single negatives. Hmm. Let me see if I can still cancel the order and get a package of 3x 6x6 (which should hold 4x 6x4.5). Still won't fit in my (new to me, still in transit) scanner masks, but I can divide them in two and make handling half as much of a PITA.

Hmm. They say the ones that hold 3-wide 6x6 also hold only three 6x4.5 wide -- seems like the math isn't adding up, or I wouldn't get 16 frames in place of 12 on a roll.
I looked at their description for the 120-4B - I don't know why they say that.
My 6x4.5 negatives come from two sources. The vast majority are from my Mamiya 645 Pro, I get 15 shots per roll, and there is a fair amount of space between frames.
I can use the horizontal row 120-4B pages for those - with three rows of four and one row of three negatives - but the rows of four negatives just fit, with a very little space at either end. The image areas are protected, and just a bit more. For that reason, I'm more likely to use the vertical column 120-3HB pages for those rolls, because each column easily holds five 6x4.5 negatives. Those pages are also best for holding nine (not ten) 6x7 negatives.
My other source of 6x4.5 negatives was 6x4.5 backs for the RB67, which gave me 16 shots per roll, with a slightly narrower amount of space between frames. Four of those negatives fit better in the rows of the 120-4B pages.

I bought some inexpensive Bay 1 filters, red and yellow, for my Rolleicord. Picked up some Ilford Delta 100 in 120 and a box of enlarging paper while I was at it.

Since I'm using two three cameras with ruby window, and an RB67, I guess the horizontal 120 will work well. Those strips should actually fit in my "new" scanner's 120 window.
