There are almost certainly less expensive "across the room" range laser rangefinders, without the Leica logo (likely DeWalt, Makita, or Milwaukee). Some are sold as "tapeless tape measures" and are accurate enough for cutting carpet to fit and similar.

I have a Milwaukee I bought from Zoro.com. Works great.

For "in the room" focusing, the mechanical rangefinder is good enough as is, but I wanted a finder good enough for 500 -x2 1000 mm and 180 --2x 360mm Hasselblad less than infinity, targets.

I thought Bushmaster but the price, with two year extended warranty was practically the same outlay.

My love of photography and iron sight hunting in years past also bred a sort of bigotry towards the "L" brand and precision, etc.

I have a heck of a time with idiopathic (what the scientific community calls something that can't be capitalized) neuropathy. I take gabapentin, helps alot.
I use IR goggles to handle film, just don't have sensitivity like I used to.

I use the Hasselblad grip, my Nikon etc cameras I have a hard time feeling the shutter release. I love grips!

I'm retired, thank heaven, no excuse. Having the experience to be able to guesstimate focus and exposure is priceless!

A new LED tracing pad, as they make great light tables. Also got one of those red neon LED flexible strips for the darkroom. Took it out of the package, plugged it in to do the CD test, and it passed!

Weeeeeel ... there is some reason to believe that spinach is not a great choice as it is considered a "dirty" plant scoring in the"Dirty Dozen" list of fruits and vegetables having the highest pesticide contamination.

A true organically sourced spinach theoretically avoids this, but organic farming has other issues like the massive clear cutting required to keep insects away from the plants.

There ain't no free lunch ;(

Well then you should be OK, because anything in a can is - by definition - good for you. This includes SPAM, beer, Hormel chili, and canned franks.
