Yosemite, from the Hwy 120 bridge over Cascade Creek, 8x10, 24" and 360mm lenses, FP4+ in PyrocatHD and in Ilford PQ Universal. Results: Embarrassing. After giving a four-day film and process-based workshop, my brain did not have all gears engaged. No you can't see them...

A possible save though...from earlier in the week before the workshop started and I was riding around the Valley on my bicycle with the 5x7...a horizontal of the Merced River with Bridalveil Falls in the upper right corner (Tri-X 320 in PyrocatHD). I'll show it if I print it.

Vaughn,
From what I have seen of your work, your "screw-ups" probably outclass my best work! Anyway, we all make mistakes; that's for sure...

Well, the two 8x10 negs taken with the 600mm (24") were at 1/4 second, roughly timed by taking the lens cap off and on. Exposure seems close, but both sheets seem oddly fogged. I might have reflected light back into the lens by the way I took the lens cap off and on. Charles Cramer has already made THE image from there, but still fun to play with...

I also made a couple 4x10 images (360mm lens in shutter) with a modified darkslide that allows for two 4x10 images on a sheet of 8x10. One is okay (but not really the right shutter speed for the water movement in the image), but I accidentally exposed the second one on the wrong sheet of film...so one 8x10 image has a 4x10 portion of it double exposed.

I was experimenting with development. I will call it a successful experiment only because I learn what not to do. 😎

Tomorrow is laundry day and there is a scene right outside the laundrymat that needs exploring...perhaps I will carry on with the testing. Most likely 4x10, but I might get lazy and use the 5x7.

Pentax LX - Voigtlander Ultron 40/2 - Kodak TMAX 100 - Wildhorse Dam and Reservoir, Northern Nevada.

I've been shooting the same camera and lens for about a year now and I can tell I am getting bored. I loaded up several film holders for the 4x5 this past weekend but so far I have refrained from taking the camera out. I only have 10 weeks to go to complete the year so I'll hold out until I'm done.

Minolta SRT-101 with Delta 100
Processed in my Rondinax 35 with Rodinal 1+40 at 19c for 12:30 minutes (15 seconds stop bath, quick rinse, 5 minutes fixer and 20 minutes wash)

Minolta 16 MG-S with Kodak Vision2 200T (expired somewhen around 2010)
Processed in my Yankee Master with the reused chemicals above ↑, except for the stop bath, and I did an Ilford quick wash (5, 10, 20 inversions) as its a test roll.
I repaired this camera to usable condition, back in January, and had not tested it yet.

Note: I re-rolled the film with the sprocket holes on the wrong side :S
