Damn it you used my idea. Now I'll need to think of something else.

Forward travelling negative arrived yesterday in the post. I have to clean up my darkroom floor after my kids used it to make Mother's Day gifts and have left a real mess of glue, paint, wire paper and fabric off-cuts. I plan to get to printing this nagative by the end of next week end..

Whos keeping tabs of the journey distance for this Neg. Germany to MI, USA as the crow flies 6,428km (3,994miles).

Yes I have a picture. I have to get to the post office to send the forward travelling negative on its way. This will be by no later than Saturday this weekend. I will scan my print when I visit friends who have a scanner and up load.

Got the negative from Andy (Oxleyroad) - thanks for sending it so promptly and so neatly packed. I'll reuse the sleeve and small envelope when sending it forward
Unfortunately I am on back to back business trips and won't get to this for the next 10 days. Sorry about the delay.

Ned - can you keep track of the distance it traveled?

I'll be sending this over to Loren Sattler once I am done printing.
Thanks again,
Ben

Great - thanks Ned!

By the way, Loren Sattler's darkroom isn't available during the summer months so I'll have to send the negative to the next one in line, ValoPeikko.

Darko, could you put Loren back a few names down the list?

Thanks,
Ben

Yes everyone is waiting on my print.

I love making prints but absolutly hate the process of scanning it given I spend the working day in front of a PC and when I get home I avoid it. I'll get there at somepoint don't worry.

Exactly the same for me

The forward traveling negative is currently in Tokyo and has traveled 32550 miles or 52384 kilometers.
( I assumed it went the short way around the world between Michigan and Japan! )

I think the reverse traveling negative is currently still in Halifax, and it has traveled 13147 km or 8196 miles.

Again apologies for the delay, I got the printing done yesterday and the negative is with Japan Post already on the way to Finland to Santtu. Quite some mileage in this negative already!!!

I have created two versions, a straight print and another one treated in a Siena toner. Do I need to pick my favorite or I can post two versions here?

Cheers,
Ben

Even though I'm not participating, I like to see the prints. I am watching this thread closely and every time I get an alert, my curiosity sparks... Keep those prints coming, guys!
