Just got a very nice card today of a 1948 Lincoln, just can't figure out exactly who it's from. It's signed , I'm guessing maybe Brian??? Any help.

Thanks for the nice comments on my print, guys! It means a lot! 
I'll get going soon! I have 6 printed. Lot more to go!!! I'm doing 5x7's this time as I don't have enough postcard paper left! I work for the next 6 nights (12 hour night shifts) then I will get them out! The girls will do theirs same time as me. We call it bonding in the tiny 6x5 darkroom!!! Good thing it's getting cooler in Montana now!

Believe it or not, its getting cooler here in Memphis too. Highs in the 60s and Lows in the 30s/40s. Last month, we actually had a couple of days where it was colder here than in Billings Montana (Good friend of mine is from Billings so he keeps up with things like that). With 6X12 Hr shifts, sounds like you work in Healthcare, at least that was the kind of stuff I used to have to pull before I gave up being an IT person and went back to school.
Yeah, I'm an RN. Can't wait until I can start my second career as whatever I feel like! Only 7 or 8 more years til I get everything paid off! I actually was a art and music double major when I first went to school. Then family happened! It is actually supposed to be 70 degrees here for the next couple of days!!! We are in a nice place in Montana (we live by Billings also). We can get a week of teens below zero (or colder) during the winter but it warms back up for us. Not a bad place at all to live! Close to the mountains, the river (Yellowstone), the plains with lots of activities.

Before you print many more, I'd suggest you check the postage rules. You may find it a much better idea to trim your 5x7 paper to 4x6 when you see how much more favourable the postage costs are for the smaller cards (USPS maximum 4 1/4" x 6").

Lori, you're talking .28 US as opposed to .44 per on the 5x7. So, save any 5x7 for international and print the rest out smaller.

polyglot's dragster speeding by is absolutely superb. Great background and pinsharp engine bay but speeding rear-end

Well, it's the end of the week and I only have one card to show for it. 
Luckily, it's a good one - Mike Wilde's architectural shot of the North Chicago River. Lots of detail, and I like the framing of all the elements.

Rachelle, I got your card today. Your use of IR film is really inspiring. I don't want to ruin it for those who have not received it but you get the woodefect so light and airy, it's amazing. Well seen and well printed. Great job.

Roger -- it is just for the week. I've gotten ten cards so far -- but being 5 weeks into an exchange with over 50 participants...well, that seems a little low, a little slower than usual. Maybe it's just me -- it's disappointing when there are no new cards in the mail.
Looking forward to getting your card though (and everyone elses!)

I don't normally print on glossy RC, but I picked up that box by mistake (!). However, I think it really works with some images.
HIE isn't that hard. I normally just put a red 25 filter on the lens, set the ISO to 320 or 400 (sometimes 200) and meter. It it's something I think will be really good, I'll bracket too. I've noticed that the images I like best usually have water, people, or old buildings (i.e. old wood) in them. If you only have one roll of HIE, there's not much you can do either way, but you might try some other infrared film (I like Efke IR820) and shoot a few rolls with it to get an idea of what kind of images you like with infrared. Then, make a plan for your HIE and go out and shoot it!
