The controller Snog_SocialGroups_ControllerPublic_Groupdiscussion does not define an action called Editmessage.

I confess ignorance on my part as to this being in the making,I might've just taken APUG for granted in that it would always be here as a safe haven for us film folk amid our high-tech world.
Anyhow, I've calmed down and feel it's going to be O.K.
Maybe you should take this up with the average 1,500 active APUG accounts that paid nothing financially to the site (50 cents a week). I understand not everyone can afford it, but I only needed a small percentage of those to subscribe in order to keep us in the black. It would have left me with no need to seek new revenue streams and kept us humming along. I did ask, I did show large permanent notices on their accounts telling them (we see you are very active here and we need your funding to survive). I feel quite under attack here and 'the bad guy' for doing what I felt was the only thing that could be done to move us forward, and keep us together. Maybe think about who really let you down, they didn't care to keep the lights on so here we are. Many have accepted this was the hand we were dealt, very disappointing but we're moving on and keeping positive. On a side note, from an admin/moderator perspective, the site is already a success. It's been far less stressful on us as there is no longer enforcement of content, content is now simply moved to the appropriate area. The 'add hybrid' bickering has ended. New members being attacked for accidentally posting hybrid or digital content on APUG has ended. In fact, I have never seen things running so smooth due to all information having a place to live. Members are engaging in the content they want to and countless members have told me they love the option to do so. I already know of your suggestion, 'just keep the analog content named APUG' and I have explained how in my view this makes no sense. The main site url would still be photrio.com regardless of an APUG logo in the site style. There is a lot to consider when it comes to google search, social media, branding and marketing and in my view this requires a unified singular name and brand to reach people. Having multiple names and identities is counterproductive to the whole reason for the changes. For example, having new members showing up to Photrio and suddenly being in an "APUG" branded area would be confusing and disjointed (especially when they have never heard of APUG).we're basically being subsidized by the other 2 sections of Photrio.

I think everything about PHOTRIO is great...
Except for the lack of a clear and obvious intention to continue to make reference to its Analogue roots.
There is no need to promote the name APUG to the uninitiated. But I do suggest there is a benefit to be gained from celebrating continuity.
And from emphasizing PHOTRIO's analogue strengths - something that clearly differentiates it from others.
Emphasizing the analog strengths would give the impression that analog is actually a priority of the site, and it isn't anymore. APUG is dead and that priority died with it. We are now 1 of 3, and actually less than 1 in 3 because we don't carry our own weight. Analog is just along for the ride now, for as long as the other sections can prop it up and justify it. Making analog a priority might confuse and frustrate the clientele who pay the bills, who must of necessaity be treated with higher priority. We are now beholden to them for our very existence. I'm sure if we polled the hybrid and digital forums we'd find majority support for just the opposite: total assimilation, the blurring of all lines. Thnk of how easy it would be for admins then, they would never have to move anything because it would all be appropriate everywhere.
I feel that you are projecting your thinking onto others here. I always felt this circle the wagons mentality at Apug. What you are describing is you missing the time when pure traditional methods dominated photography, doing what you are accusing the digital side to be planning. But those times are over, the people who financed that, the huge masses of not-even-hobbyist point-and-shooters have left. Today, film has nothing to offer to that kind of user. They don't care about photography, only about getting an image of what they just saw.
The good news for you is that nobody will ask you to stop doing the kind of photography you enjoy. Photrio can protect those of you, while helping film into a modern future.
Contrary to your claim I think that those of us, who are active in the hybrid and digital sections, will continue to cherish the analog side. I myself need the hybrid content in particular, but it is useless without the thriving traditional side keeping people with the old knowledge here. Hybrid has two legs and will fall if one was to rot away. I would strongly welcome traditionalists to contribute their traditional knowledge to hybrid discussions. It enables us to get traditional looking results from modernised methods and that is something you cannot get in any digital forum. A film image will always be a film image, it may be digitised but will not be digital. But if it gives you a headache we will not complain about you staying on your side. I, for one, want to accommodate you. We all want what we want and there is nothing to be gained from a hostile takeover of the analog section.
And there is the bonus for you that Photrio will more likely help to keep film alive than the old site. I feel that the old Apug was potentially harmful for the continued commercial viability of film. Anyone searching about film will have found links to apug.org. A lot of people trying film (again) will do hybrid processing. Some, like me, will eventually try wet processing for the first time in their life. Apug was rudely telling them off and pushing them back to fully digital only. Had Apug been able to keep going by the financial power of their existing user base, I would have strongly suggested for Sean to have it removed from the Google Index, so that it's continued happy existence wouldn't damage the feeble growing market of newcomers.

I'm pretty sure that if forced to choose just one check box, most that are here now would still tick the analogue box.
But it would be with some reluctance, because even those who, like me, are resolutely in the analogue camp, are at least interested in what others are doing.
Analogue remains where PHOTRIO is strongest, because of its APUG roots.
