You can cancel the order in the next 14 days, it is on the 7th point. The widhdrawal right in Europen Union is about being able to return a purchase AFTER reception (up to 14 days) without any justification. With the Wideluxx you renounce to the right to do it. Not nice 🫤

Kind of irritating the way they worked around that with the custom engraving inside the body being mandatory.

Well, maybe a pre-order, never know if I'll need one. Goes well with Fava beans and a nice chiati.
I'm selling blood to cover the shipping.

by my calculation that's a lot of blood
5200€....less approx 16-20% VAT .....plus shipping, plus US duty (not current questionable tariff) plus applicable state tax..... i'll bet the final price comes close to even money $5200 USD....
oh & loss of % interest (6-12 months) on the price paid in advance....

You're right: WideluxX is not for me. I'm going to keep my blood and kidney and keep shooting my F8. I'm glad Photrio was here to put me right.

Yes, very odd. This is not some cheap product that the ā€œrestockingā€ costs would ruin the economics on this item.

Nice, but not for me.
I had an F6 that was a lot of fun, but sold it in a fit of poverty.
I had a Horizont for a while...it was fun, too, but I'm done with swing-lens panos.
Hope they succeed.

I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, but it occurs to me that tariffs for shipping to the US might not be an issue by the time they're actually shipped. The previous tariffs have been invalidated, and the new tariffs expire on July 24, unless Congress extends them. https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/programs/geoeconomics-center/trump-tariff-tracker/

As cool as it would be to have this, my Horizon 202 stops down to f/16 and has six shutter speeds. The WideluxX probably has a better quality lens. (Is it WideluxX or Widelux-X? In body text, it says WindeluxX, but in title text, it says WIDELUX-X.)

It's hard to buy into this when a great condition F8 is around $2000 or so... but if this has a much better quality clockwork mechanism in it or some other aspect that separates it from the older versions, I think it's a justifiable purchase.

I guarantee there is a pretty hard ceiling on the market for these cameras... once they have sold to all the collectors and cigar-shooters out there, the sales are going to be very slim, so anyone serious about getting one of these should probably consider getting in on this batch even with all the vague language and purchase terms because it could happen that they don't really make another run. Especially at this pricing compared to a used F8.

I'd like to know if someone will be making an ER case for this?! Would be nice to have something like that for the camera. Also, Widelux used to make filters... I wonder what it would take to use a yellow or orange filter on the camera, since I regularly have one of these on my film cameras.

Does the new Widelux-X take filters?

The old Widelux models used an unusual hook mount. You can still find old sets of these filters for sale but prices are very high. There was a maker (Gerry Orkin) who was 3d printing compatible filters for a while, but I believe his last batch was produced in 2022. His web site is no longer online.

Unless SilverBridges is going to offer new filters at a reasonable price you can add another $500 or so to the cost of your Widelux-X kit (assuming it's compatible with the old filter mount).
