I did an unscientific calculation and estimated that the camera (at this pace) would arrive round 11/11/2005 in Belgium. And in the same calculation I found that Nicole B. would have it round Christmas 2005. Isn't that nice ?

We still have the second camera that was slated for the same list after the first one went temporarily into the post office's black hole. Greg, I have that one, let me know whether/when I should send it on.

Is the quantity/quality of problems with this camera par for the course, or do we need to adjust the project in the future? Any thoughts from someone who has participated in shared camera projects in other venues?

Well, the (there was a url link here which no longer exists) camera has left the States, been to Germany, and is on it's way to Norway.

I guess it's a combination of the whether the Post Office gods smile upon you, and whether the participants will just take the darn picture and send it on to the next person.

Eric posted the other day in the "Miscellaneous" category. See this thread.

Don't know why he posted there, but I will pm him again to find out if he has sent the camera on its way.

I just had an idea. Does anyone else think this would be cool? Include a blank notebook (like a Moleskine or something similar) in with the next camera and after each person takes their shot, but before they seal up the package, they add to the first-person narrative from the point of view of the camera about it's travels and what it 'experienced' with each person, then when the images from the camera go up on the web, they can be illustrations to a transcribed "what the camera saw".

Good idea. Perhaps Sean can come up with a nifty on-line format for this: a portfolio of all the shots taken, along with a log book that we can fill in - retroactively in this case. We'd want this for both Round 1 and Round 2, and maybe later versions yet to come.
