Well ....

I thought the first camera was still on its way and I've been waiting for it to arrive. I don't remember the post where it was decided to cancel it in favour of the second camera - which list I'm not on BTW.

So ..... yes, I'm still in ... my address info is (as always) in my signature line.

cheers eh?

You are still on the list and the camera is coming your way.

The first camera that was sent out for the first round was lost (and later found) a replacement was sent out in its place - there are only two people ahead of you. What Graham is talking about is the second round camera - he is just letting everyone know that this round has finished and the pictures are up.

Yes "Part Duex" (which really ought to be "Deux") refers to the second round, rather than the replacement camera for the first round.

I agree with Nige--confirm participation and send the original camera on its way.

And they look SO neat! I am so excited to see the pics from the other camera

Ahhh - I see (said the blind mute). I will wait patiently as always  for it to arrive. With all the cameras floating about, I guess I got confused (which according my sweetheart happens more often than it should at 47).

cheers and thank you,

Hi All,

The camera is on its way to Dave Swinnard in Canada. I was hoping to get it out the door quicker but unfortunately it stayed with me for a week. To compensate for this delay, I shipped it to Dave via Global Priority Mail (delivery in 3-5 business days, instead of 7-10 via regular international). Also, the camera came to me in a USPS box, which was not acceptable for shipment to Canada. So, I put the camera in a USPS box, which I put in another box acceptable for international shipping. Hope it reaches Dave safe and sound.

Cheers!
Sanjay

I have sent pm's to everyone to see if they want to recieve the first camera and for those that don't we will have some open spots. As soon as they let me know I will post and let everyone know where the first cmaera is going.

As of now I am waiting on six people to let me know if they are in or out. I will be getting the camera from Diane (colrehogan) over the holidays and will send it out to the next person on the list (kwmullet) right after that.

To all:

I have yet to hear from four people whether they are in or out. In addition to those four I have three folks who asked out this time. I have recieved one pm from a person who wants in and will be included. If I don't hear from these folks by, say Sunday, should we move on to other folks who might want to be included or just leave them out? Colrehogan will be sending it out in the next few days to Kevin.

I say open it up to newbies. I'm sure there won't be a problem. Then list the route in a new thread, otherwise this thread will get very confusing.

Regards, Art.

Alrighty, everyone I haven't had any response from the last 4 original folks who were in. So I am looking for 4 new people to take their places. I will take the first 4 that pm me. if I don't hear anything than I guess we will just be that many exposures short. If I get the 4 new ones I will post a new thread as Art suggested and put a link here.

Hi,
Came in late, I like the idea, any vacancies in the second round?
If not can you put me down for the next round?
Regards
Brendan

Where is the original camera now? The last I heard, on 21 December, was that it is on the way to Dave Swinnard. It shouldn't take 20 days per person.

... and to think I sent it by international priority mail to speed things up!

There were two cameras as the original one got lost in the mail for four months between BW Girl and myself and then after the second one came to me and went, the original one showed up at my house. I emailed Gary at that time and he told me to hold on to it for a while. I was clearing out my house recently and I didn't want to lose the camera so I emailed Gary to see what I should do with it and we decided to send it on.

I got a reply from Dave last night and yes he does have the camera. He will shooting and sending it on soon. Also, I will have the updated list for the original camera and post it later tonight.

I have just pm'd everyone about the updated list. John Bartley replied and the link didn't work for him. So here is the link to that thread

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Any questions don't hesitate to pm or email me.

Just sent the camera on to tomtom via USPS Priority Mail. 4-year old son and I were at the empty post office at midnight using the automated kiosk to send it, and it didn't present delivery confirmation or tracking as an option, but it estimated 2-3 days delivery.

Hopefully, what I lack in timeliness I've made up for in accuracy of my updates to the delivery list and multiple-layers of hermetically sealed packaging. As requested, I've penciled the inserts and deletions onto the original copy, and I've also included a copy of ggriffi's E-Mail to me with the changes as well as the updated list linked to in the previous post for reference.

As long as it takes these cameras to make full circuits, I'm wondering if this shouldn't just be a perpetual activity, with a new camera fired off into the ether every other month to whatever the current participation list happens to be. That way, eventually, there will be new picture each month or two to post from some camera that was started the previous year, generation, etc.

Ok - I now have a camera that Dave Swinnard sent to me. It arrived on my front doorstep sometime today, courtesy of Canada Post. I need to have two things happen to take my picture :

1) I have to figure out how to use it

and

2) I need some sunshine - predicted for about Friday? which gives me three days to learn how to use it - "should" be enough time

cheers

ps : perpetual camera ? count me in eh?
