I would love to particpate in this. Count me in.

Flash,

Sorry the camera has been sent on its way with a full list. I know that some other folks are trying to start one. If I do this again I will let you know.

A quick lookup at usps.com with the tracking number returns "item was delivered at 10:28 am on February 10, 2006". Any update? Do not mean to rush you, just curious.

Anybody care to tell me how many more to go - I am too lazy to look for the list again.

All,

As per my understanding, the last we heard of the "replacement" camera was when it was with John, on Jan 31, 2006.
John Bartley said:
Ok - I now have a camera that Dave Swinnard sent to me. It arrived on my front doorstep sometime today, courtesy of Canada Post. I need to have two things happen to take my picture :

1) I have to figure out how to use it

and

2) I need some sunshine - predicted for about Friday? which gives me three days to learn how to use it - "should" be enough time

cheers

ps : perpetual camera ? count me in eh?
Can we please, please, please get an update on where this little guy is now? The folks remaining on this list are:

John Suckling (UK)
Marc Leest (Belgium)
Morten Damkjaer (Denmark)
Graeme Hird (Australia)
Glenn Mathison (Australia)
Nigel Smith (Australia)
Nicolle Boenig-Mcgrade (Australia)

Also, last we heard of the "original" camera, it was shipped to eric by tomtom, on Feb 9, 2006.

I got a PM from John Bartley that Snapper was not replying to his PMs, so he would send the camera to me. I did not receive the camera as of today.

I am a bit confused now  (thought I finally had this figured out). The camera that John Bartley has is the replacement for the original camera that was temporarily lost in transit. As per the list, he is supposed to ship it to John Suckling in the UK. So I am not sure why he was trying to PM Snapper. (This is the camera that has already passed through me, if that helps.)

Maybe John (Bartley) can shed some light on this?

The "original" camera, that was temporarily lost in transit but later resurfaced, has been sent out and was last with tomtom. This camera has a few stops to make before it gets to John Bartley, and it has NOT passed through me yet. Another way to help clear the confusion is to note that the "original" camera is lagging behind the replacement camera because it was MIA for a while.

Hope I have not created anymore confusion.

I heard that Graeme is in the process of moving to Perth, so it would be best to PM him, when the camera is ready to go to Australia, before shipping it.

I am sorry that I haven't replied. I haven't been Apugging a lot lately

But the camera has arrived and I will shoot it right away and send it on to Australia (I cannot remember who, but it says so in the letter that came with camera).

I was way late on sending mine, but managed to get it sent off to Bob Fowler in NJ the day before I flew out to NJ again. That's right, I sent a package to NJ then flew there myself the next day. I would have sent it once I landed but didn't want to pack it in my carry on bag and didn't want to get it zapped in my checked bags.

Life is so complicated sometimes
