i pm'd you yesterday art. i'm still in with whichever camera, route or coordinator we use
Hi Cha,

Sorry for the gender mismatch! I got the PM, but Gary's back in the saddle seat.

To Everyone else, ignore all the PMs I sent and the previous posts I made here. Sorry for the confusion. I was just trying to get things moving in a coordinated manner.

Art.

Got the camera!

Sent the camera through the mail (with a confirmation of reciept this time) to Diane! :D

Let's keep our fingers crossed. I used the great box Riachard sent it to me in!

So should take it as a good sign that no one has posted or emailed that the camera is missing again? :D

Gary

Well, Diane pm'd me that she'd received the camera, so I assume she's either got it, or has send it on its way!

Assuming that we're going by the original list, not the second list that was published, that would mean I'm next in line. I've received neither a PM, E-Mail or Camera.

Diane -- shoot me an E-Mail or PM and let me know if you've sent it my way. Maybe it's at the post office and the "you've got a package waiting" slip blew out of my mailbox or something...

Kevin,

I sent it with the original list, so maybe everything is ok.

Sorry, I still have it! It rained most of last week, so I didn't get the shot I wanted. I plan to do that tomorrow morning. It's a morning shot and I'm at work by the time the sun comes up.

Cool news, Diane. Happy to find out the camera is creatively and not administratively or logistically queued.

Round 3?

I know that there are several people who did not make it on to this or (there was a url link here which no longer exists). If you want to organize Round 3 I think you could get a quorum in a week or so, especially since some of us on the earlier rounds would be interested in doing it again - but only after everyone else has had a chance.

The suggestion has been made, and I think it's worth considering, that the next round be done with 12 folks on a 24-exposure roll, 2 shots each. That's mostly just to limit the number of stops (and opportunities for loss) that the camera has to make. Each stop seems to average a week to 2 weeks, so you can see that even with 12 people it will take months to complete.

I put the camera in the mail today.

Just got back home from doing pre-trip-to-california-errands-part-a to find the box from Diane sitting on my porch. If the postman delivering to houses across the street is any indication, it arrived just minutes ago.

Now, to fire off an E-Mail to my wife Dianna at work and see if she'd consent to me shooting a portrait of her in all her early second trimester pregnantness for this project.

Just got back from California, shot the frame, boxed the camera back up and went to the post office to generate a priority mail stamp and send it. My 3-year old and I got the stamp generated but found the package bin at the post office locked shut, so it'll have to be physically mailed tomorrow. I'll post the tracking number and accompanying URL after I do so

Shipped the camera yesterday. US Postal Service Priority Mail confirmation # 03911771930000016046.
I got delivery confirmation but not tracking, so the URL above may not be fruitful until a little while after actual delivery takes place.
Should arrive at Cha's (Tomtom's) tomorrow.

OT - Missing first camera arrived here!

Okay, I know this is a bit OT, but the first camera that was originally sent on this worldwide tour finally came out of it's two and a half month stint in Postal oblivion.

Since there is another camera going on this current list (this camera has the same list that is with the camera that Kevin just sent out.

SO, what is the fate of the original camera going to be? Please let me know.

If you want, we can start a third one and just take 23 other folks.

I 'd wait with the very first camera 'til the second one completes its tour. We have a nice backup here if the second one disappears in a black hole.

I can hang on to it, that's no problem. I'll put the list with the addresses in the box and keep it on my desk here at home.

ok  it's confession time. i advanced the camera by mistake. i got a little distracted by an on coming train :surprised: but - i taped a rubber o-ring around the shutter button that should protect it from being accidentally pressed during shipping. sorry about that eric but i believe all will be well
