Raphael - No apology needed, I knew it an oversight! Glad our cameras made it home safe'n sound. Camera 9 was such a blast. It sure was an honor being part of it, can't wait to see all the art when they're posted here!! Have a great one, Andy

Hi Raphael - I tried to but my account doesn't allow. This function was not only for subscribers and I respectfully submit the identification of which pictures were mine - here. If there are other unclaimed pictures, I suspect the photographers are faced with the same quandary. This event was a open-to-all-APUGrs-event and post hoc requiring supporters, of the event, to be a subscriber is what the matter is. I know Shawn didn't realize this and respectfully announce the matter here. I hope this will remain civil and not turn into a debate or whatnot, of how folks shd spend his/her $ (I'm not implying you would do that). Great art all who contributed! Best, Andy

Andy-san,

This has been noted many times in previous rounds, and we at "We all shoot one (or two) cameras" don't keep out the riff raft who do not pay. It was not an issue last round as all photos were posted to the thread so it probably wasn't mentioned in this round's threads. I have let my subscription lapse but will send Shaun some money soon. As rst noted, sometimes we don't have darkroom space, analog photography takes a more relaxed place in our lives, and the priority to browse images decreases. I think that's the case with me, I am pretty sure it's the case with Sile. I also have hope that I will haul the LF out again and get some sort of makeshift darkroom in place. After all, I just need a changing space and a small space to contact print 8x10s.

So be a little patient. I am sure Shawn will get these images into the thread soon and we can all laugh at (I mean give praise to) our efforts.

So, What ?

Only a few folks are unashamed enough to claim reponsability of their shots ? To name them, only Shawn, Rick A, ambaker, Toro mike, kraker (and me).

Seriously, there is a lot of great pics among the unclaimed !

There isn't even the shadow of a bit of Polka dots, so where are Sile's ?

Definitely no polka dots this round.. subjecting you lot to my knickers once in a lifetime was enough I'm sure you'd all agree!

I think (and yes Tim I too have also let my subscription lapse...) from the thumbnails my shots were Frames 7 and 8 on the Olympus.. though I'm open to corrections if I've claimed someone else's shots!

The rest of the frames look fantastic from what I can see.. on both cameras. Always love the incredible array of subject matters in the travelling camera project. Well done Shawn for all the hard work and for the processing. You have the patience of a saint with us lot!

PS sorry for chiming in so late with my response.. I'm just back from vacation!

I'm going to put the pictures up in a separate thread here in this forum just as soon as they are up in the gallery. Long after these threads are no longer active, the pics can still be viewed in the gallery, where they are all in one place.

As to your frames, I added your name in the gallery. Frame 8 is simply magnificent, IMHO. Absolutely one of my favorites from this round.

Finally - if you are up to it, there's still time to sneak in a shot of the polka dots. :whistling:

Regards,

Shawn

Excellent, Steve. Great to see these.

Is frame #26 yours also? It looks like the parade, but I don't see any costumes, so I thought I'd ask before I listed your name. Please let me know.

Hope all is well. I haven't forgotten about getting together with you to shoot. We should put our minds to that soon.

Regards,

Shawn

Matt,

If it makes you feel better, I spaced out and forgot to write in the journal.

I only learned about the journal after I had posted the camera to the next person.

Yea haha that one is mine, we were nearing the end with a fair amount of film left over, so I asked if 2-3 shots were ok.

I'm always down to get together to go shoot. Let's do it

I have no recollection of the journal either.

But then, sometimes I'll spend hours trying to remember a familiar name:whistling:.

Olympus? Which Olympus?

Well, even I can remember that there was a journal sent around with the Olympus. Although I do not remember what I wrote, at least I remember that I wrote something. :whistling:

Thanks Shawn, I look forward to getting a good look at everyone's shots in full! And thank you.. very high praise indeed! I think (if memory and intense zooming on the screen is right) that it's the house at Powerscourt some 10 minutes from here, one of my favourite places to spend a day with the camera.

Preferably with her in them :whistling:

Strangely I suddenly can't find those polka dots anywhere....

As I've said before-- you and your Latin lovers!

How did you know I was in Italy....:whistling: and I clicked on that link to Old Glory.. why.. Oh why did I click??

As for the journal.. I think I wrote in it.. I do remember there was such a thing, but what I wrote.. I have no clue!
Though I'm sure it was wise

Best of Round 9:

Y'all know it's not a competition but I feel some need recognition for a job well done.

Leica camera has a clear photo heads and tails above all. From Japan, the Moose brought us image (there was a url link here which no longer exists), the panda bears' dream, the bamboo forest.
I like Fred's fishing boat and Matt's ex fishing boat but I think moosie nailed it.

On the Olympus, much interesting work, most well done, maybe the camera had something to do with that... I liked Raphael's Light house (there was a url link here which no longer exists) maybe that is because it reminds me of the best of my work, or that I like light houses, or the mid tonals are pretty impressive but probably because the framing and the motion within the print are very well done.

Ambaker gets the Margret B.White industrial photo award and zsas gets a free trip to the computer to get Burning Man tickets (at 400 plus bucks a piece) for next year.

Toro-Mike gets free admission to any hot rod car show next year at the Alameda County Fair Grounds (California), my treat. I might learn something.

These are.... just my opinion. Great work everyone.
