Would anyone be interested in sending a 4X5 Roll Film Back around the USA ?

~ Ron
.

Well ...

I would have to borrow a camera and an operator in order to participate, so I wouldn't be keen.

And do you really want to mail something with a removable dark slide internationally?

Unfortunately, I would only send it out to U.S. members that have been APUGing for a very long time

How about an instant camera? With 2 or 3 packs of film and a small album to put the shots in. We could each sign and date the images too.

I like the idea, but seriously, Steve - what fun is it if you don't wait a year or longer to see your shots?

Good point! I guess we are all patient sadists here haha. I don't know how you weren't tempted to develop the first roll a few months ago for a peak.

653 days later...we are done.

We're done? Finito... Terminado... Fertig... Fini... Críochnaithe... Acabado... Finished...

Well done everyone but especially Shawn.. with determination and persistence skills like that, the UN could do with you!

Now the main thing I'm worried about, is what are we all going to talk about?

So where's the pics? I wanna see pics!

After all these years, you want pics?

Update: Should have scans of pics and the two contact sheets in my hands by next week. I thought it would be cool for everyone to have a scan of the contacts. Hopefully by then I can figure out logistics of posting them.

Hope you are all well. I am looking forward to going back to being a mere participant in the next round, if we have one!

Regards,

Shawn

Maybe I'll host the next round. I have a couple cameras that would like to see the world.

Looks like Round 10 is off to a flying start! Best of luck to Rick A and the rest of us on this next round of lunacy.

With regrets - unless I get the film back tomorrow (not likely) - the uploading of Round 9 pictures will have to wait another 1-1/2 to 2 weeks when I return from vacation. Sorry about that folks - we waited almost two years, so what's another two weeks, right?

My apologies - but it looks like we have Round 10 to keep us busy until then!

Regards,

Shawn

WHAT ? Another two weeks to wait ? You are killing me

Hope you aren't in vacation in a zone under hurricane, typhoon, or cyclone risk :D

Anyway, have good holidays.

Made it back from vacation safely. Thanks so much, Raphael, for worrying about me and not the pictures! :whistling:

Pictures from Round 9 will be up starting Friday evening.

Hope you are all doing well.

Thanks, Raphael - I did indeed have a nice holiday. Wish I could show you some pics, but can't on APUG

I hope to post the first pictures from Round 9 later this evening, but here's a teaser (see pic)! It's the uncut strips of Tri-X from Round 9, sleeved and on top of a lightbox. The Leica strip on top; the Olympus on bottom. From the looks of the negatives, the Stylus's meter played tricks on some shooters. We'll see soon enough.

Some details: The rolls of Tri-X were developed in Kodak X-Tol in a Dip & Dunk Referma processor. I will cut the strips this evening, scan them, and then sleeve them. Because I find such tedium soothing (don't laugh), I wanted to do this work myself.
