There has been no news since the original announcement. All we can do is wait.

I'm waiting but not holding my breath. As I've said several times before... if it happens I'll be happy but all we've really heard (and I had an employee there to verify for me) is the CES announcement and nothing else (other than rumor and assumptions)... no literature, no status, no updates, and no samples... no nothing that I have seen.

Ah... let me correct myself. I found the announcement in one document... but it is about he same time as the CES announcement. Nothing since then, however.

Correct. It doesn't say that. That statement is nowhere to be found except on APUG... as of yet, at least.

Cant remember where I read it, but someone asked Kodak the status of Ektachrome lately and they said it should be reintroduced late this year, early next year. So they are getting close now.

I'm really looking forward to getting this in Super 8 and regular 8mm. I know they don't have any plans to make it in Regular 8mm but they do plan to make it in 16mm which will be re-perforated by others.

I take it we can rely on the Kodakery site for the real inside information? Is Kodakery definitely "Our Man in Havana" Do they do a N. Koreanery as well.My experience is that when such people set their minds to it there is almost nothing they are not the insiders on.

perhaps they plan to compete with the Italian folks coater to coater. or figure that they can meet the demand with the lab size coating set-up.

There is absolutely no reason to assume the photo is directly related to the new Ektachrome film. That could be a photo from a 1980’s stock report.

I thought about that too. It could also just be the cover photo for the podcast site.
