Where did Fuji say they will discontinue film in 2019?
secret market
We meet again end 2019 - Ok ?Nowhere. Please ignore such incessant babbling.
Where did Fuji say they will discontinue film in 2019?
Fuji stated they decide to delete further films within 2018 you possible have heared about it. The next step Fuji has not decide yet is how to advance in 2019. That indicates quite clear : Further
discontinuation of films.
The last I heared about was Fuji is going foreward to sell their whole film devision.
But don't nail me to the source.
To me it is clear nowbody want to buy Fuji's film devision and Fuji don't like to
stick to it.
That All is no "propanda" unless I would like to hear about Fuji is willing to sell films and possible bring out new films.
But in realistic way we should realize :
" It is time to say good by to Fujifilm"

PS : I can not help it .....![]()
For all we know, that Kodak lunch that PE mentioned somewhere was a top secret, high rank associate reunion concerning the matter.PS : I have No test films - but look at PE's statement above.
Possible PE has some new Ektachromes -
but (in any case) he would not tell us - I could imagine. .....![]()
Hopefully not. Member Poisson du Jour(?) IIRC mentioned some rumors around Fuji reps and 2020 as date, more E6 centered issue.Nowhere. Please ignore such incessant babbling.
I know you all may beat me therefore twice and twice but I have real doubts if Fuji today is producing all selling films with the LOGO " Fujifilm"
with regards
PS : with most films Fuji is selling today they will state tribble times : "Yes this film you ask is also still in production". But this is only half of the true. The real true is :
FUJI STOPPED PRODUCTION OF MOST FILMS IN THE PAST - but Fuji see no simple reason to state this. Because theyhave sales from stored masterrolls and it is a smart business to see when storage comes to an end in some months
to increase pricing serveral times a year . This is a special form of compensation from Fuji to avoid new production runs - with indeed higher costs in smaler volume. Believe me - or believe Fujis statements that they will hold on film.
To make it clear : I am very sad about - but no way with Fuji outside my refrigerator soon !!!! Hope that is clear now.
RattyMouse I definitivly respect your oppinum - you may have an other few to the facts. But to me it is the main reasonWhat is clear is that you are spouting off utter nonsense without even a modicum of proof.
By the way - have you a remind of Kodaks procedure with emulsion backing of Kodak EPN / Kodak EPP / Kodak E100G ? Because Kodak stated (after introducing new improved Kodak EPP) that they have the intention to produce the old emulsion for a further time paralel. Because of special demand of the legend EPN ! Years later they introduced E100G and provided 3 emulsions of same Ektachrome. Both Kodak and Fuji often make production runs of a given product and then store it for later finishing into final product. Each master roll is tracked and the emulsion numbers reflect the real coating number.
PE
Kodak isn't able to stop Ektachrome.
They can't bring the gost back into the bottle. May be their intention was to calculate the complete relaunch program in other ways - caused from changet market (and company situation) since Jan. 2017.
Notice : Fuji has no intern problems while stating they will stop their whole film portfolio during 2019. And (I beliefe) they will do it soon as possible.
The Ektachrome films from first production run are into the resricted and secret market.
So what is a secret market ? It is a test phase from marketing to find out how the film should be priced and be served via stores. The tecnical issues should have been finnished long before.

Again, this guy has ZERO proof of anything he says. Absolutely nothing. Not a shred of proof.Where has Fujimstated they will leave the film market?
Where has Fujimstated they will leave the film market?
And, restarting and stopping is very expensive.

All of these words... and still we see no film...
