Oops, no it's not. I realise that I left out the Polaroid MP-3 copy 4x5 camera. How did I forget to include the bulkiest of the lot in my list? ;-)

Peter

Ah yup. Forgot the Voightlander 6x6, the Agfa 6x6, the 2 Zeiss 6.5 x9, and the Zeiss Trona 9x12 (converted to 3x4)

LOL! :D

I've never been called that before! I must get round to taking a good picture of Pinky one day, in which case I'll post it for everyone to admire

Mostly it is a 'trademark' sort of thing: clients get to recognise the unique camera and it helps them remember me as distinct from any other photographer they deal with. It cost me a lot less to get the snakeskin made up than a gold Rolleiflex, say, would have been, and is at least as good if not better in the 'memorability' stakes.

I admit that I sometimes do sort of enjoy the funny looks it gets as well. Sometimes it helps to get to the front of a crowd, or the person who is frowning at all the other photographers will see Pinky and give a me a smile - they can't help it, a pink camera makes you smile!

35mm: Nikon FM2n, 6006, F100
645: Mamiya Super
6x6: Mamiya C330
LF: Canham 8x10 wood
Digital: Canon G1, Palm Treo 650

Only the FM2n, F100 and the Super have seen significant use in the past 6 mos.

Well, the Treo is gone but a Contax G2 and a Canham DLC 4x5 have joined the stable. Now I just need to find a nice 90mm for the DLC, and maybe a 28mm for the G2...

Too many!

Thinking of selling my Hassey 503CW with lenses, film backs etc.

Just got a Pentax 67II and think it's more to my liking that the former.

Still unsure, PM if you want to convince me.

Doh!

I just remembered some more...

The Zenith E that my grandmother gave me, my first SLR; plus another one that I was given because it didn't work; and a third that is part of a Photo-Sniper outfit.

A rigid-bodied Agfa of some sort that took 828 film, the second camera I ever had, given to me by my grandmother, who gave me the Zenith when 828 film became unobtainable.

A Kodak Retinette that used to be my father's - quite a nice camera actually, though I haven't used it in years.

A horrible pseudo-TLR that I was given.

A plastic thing that takes pseudo panoramic pictures - ie. it just masks the top and bottom of the frames - given to my ex-wife and left behind by her. This is more fun than it sounds, though the quality is what you'd expect: I'll probably give it away when I find a suitable recipient.

An Olympus XA, also given to me by my grandmother - this used to be my favourite go-everywhere camera, now more or less replaced in that role by the Ricoh GR1v.

One or more single-use cameras that I give to students sometimes.

Now, I hope that really is everything this time...

Arrgh - and a Minolta SRT 101 that came with an Ikelite housing that I bought to use with a Pentax LX. Nice camera but I really should sell it: I only have the two lenses that it came with and don't really see myself using it.

So, please, pardon my ignorance, Bandicoot, but what is "Ikelite"?

News-flash-- my household, that consists of 3 women and 2 cats, now have a total of 6 {!!!} cameras!!

a trio of 35mm's; 2 P & S's; a single 'pseudo' 35mm [I bought it from Walgreens!!]

Do ya think we've got enuff?? The one roommate who doesn't care about photography one iota, is considering selling her cameras--as soon as she locates them!! I do plan to ask if I can sell them through APUG--give APUGgers first 'crack' at them, perhaps.

Digital or analog cameras only? If counting analog only, I have 2. An EOS 3 and an Elan 30V (7N). If counting digital too, I have 6 cameras in total but 4 of them are for work only. 2 1-series and 2 20Ds. I'm hoping to buy a Leica M6 in the future for my cross-Europe trip with my future wife, but she doesn't know that yet lol.

Ok- the camera head count is staying somewhat steady, but the makeup of the collection has changed.

35mm - Contax G1, Contax RX
2 1/4 - Graflex 22
4x5 - Shen Hao
5x7 - Canham Wood Field
6.5 x 8.5 - Seneca Field
8x10 - Zone VI Ultralight

I also have a Century Master studio camera with 5x7 and 6.5 x 8.5 backs, the majority shell of an E&HT Anthony studio camera which currently has no back at all, and a Folmer Graflex 8x10 tailboard field camera with 8x10 and 5x7 backs, both of which need restoration. The bellows on both appear to be good though.

coming soon-

Canham 5x12 conversion kit for the 5x7
Folmer & Schwing 11x14

The Hasselblad stuff is departing in exchange for the Canham, and my Xpan is going out in exchange for the 11x14. Now I have a couple of camera bags to spare, since I've consolidated.

I think I hate to admit this:
35mm- - Nikon F, Nikon FG, Pentax K1000, Bell & Howell Canonet 19, a bag full of plastic ones
2 1/4 - Miniature Speed Graphic, Graflex Model B, Mamiya RB 67
127 - Bell & Howell, Kodak Brownie Twin Lens, Kodak Hawkeye, Kodak Vest Pocket Autographic
620 - Kodak Tourist
120 - Ansco Speedex
Polaroid - SX-70 (2), Model 80, Automatic 100, Model 150, Model 330
4x5 - Omega E, Graphic View I, Speed Graphic, Crown Graphic
8x10 - Orbit C-1

Whew, that wasn't as bad as I feared.

Since last reporting I have lost my Nikon F601 - My wife has claimed it as her own

But I have added a Mamiya RB67 with a couple of lenses and backs so the total number stays the same
