Has anyone else got a kickstarter email about updating your address for the rewards?
I had updated my address with the P30 survey that everyone got, so is there any need to respond to the kickstarter email?

Sounds like they are running down on their stock of OLD Ferrania colour negative, to the point where it looks funky even by their eclectic standards. they are calling this " Color Negative F²/400 "
When we closed the option to change shipping addresses within Kickstarter itself, the 48-hour message was automatically sent by them... We had no way to stop it.
But since only a little over half of our Backers responded to the "smart form" - I thought it was prudent to lock the Kickstarter changes even though the message somewhat duplicated the messaging in the smart form.
We will of course need to update addresses again when the color film is ready to ship - but it's now much easier to do it ourselves, whereas before we had no access to update shipping info.
I'll give you exactly one guess who the "renowned Italian filmmakers" were.
And this BS about letting the film "age like fine wine" in the Czech Republic is really hilarious.

Yes, and unfortunately, despite working furiously for the past six weeks to find a viable e-commerce solution that meets our needs - and most critically, doesn't cost $50-80K - it's going to be a bit longer before the shop is ready.

Yes, bless them and their flowery marketing! They certainly have a difficult time connecting to the broader analog community, but the part they've got, they've got ON LOCK.

Dave, somebody posted recently (I can't remember where, but not APUG) that P30 has extended red sensitivity, much like Ilford SFX200. Is this correct?
The good news about the "new" Lomography film is that everyone who wanted to shoot some Solaris now has a chance without buying sketchy stuff from eBay! Because at the very least we know that Lomography took very good care of that Jumbo while they were figuring out what to do with it.

Below are my shots taken on the stuff from Wittner, I have had great results with NO yellowing and have not needed to make any adjustments or corrections on my scans. There was no "yellow" cast delibratley added to compensate for aerial photographic purposes. There seems to be some rumour going round that this was done to correct for high UV at higher altitudes then shooting the film.It's not due to bad storage. It is a characteristic of that remnant aerial film (Rollei CR200 [:Aviphot] ). I have exposed separate rolls from different batches and all the results show a murky and unpalattable cast and at the very least, a palette that is far removed from straight E6 processing, yet consistent with the observed characteristics of the film, as published. The examples you may see on the web have very often been modified (post) to overcome the cast. These are not reliable indicators of outcomes, nor is one or two rolls.
No, I would have not guessed, that this could turn into a blocking point for selling film, which is supposed to be the main source of money for Ferrania. There are gazillions of people out there, who either already run a web shop for photographic products, or could could whip one up in a matter of days. It's not like this webshop for P30 would have to handle a million requests per day, although I would certainly wish Ferrania that it would.I had guessed that getting a web shop up and running was the sticking point.
No, this is not my job, and the job I do would seriously suffer if I were held up by such an issue. I have, however, ordered lots and lots of different photographic products from existing web shops, and none of these webshop operators could coat a photographic emulsion in their life time. We're not talking rocket science here.@Rudeofus - Have you ever tried selling anything via a webshop? Have you tried integrating a webshop into an existing website?
Agreed. Their communication has been good, and they've been pretty upfront about what's going on (perhaps too much so, as they've open themselves up to scrutiny from all sorts of armchair experts). We're talking days here.I don't get the problem. Dave said "end of the month" and guaranteed that at least the counter will be on by today, which is the end of the month. If then the shop opens tomorrow it doesn't seem a huge tragedy to me, it is not like they are postponing everything until 2025, until they figure stuff out.
