For Sale Fresh 4"x5" (and other sizes) Dry plates

I developed one of my recent plates last night. Came out well. Here is a scan of one plate (the blob in upper left is emulsion on the back of the plate that I didn't clean off before scanning). Did not do anything to this except scan it in and reduce resolution for uploading.

The following is a crop of the plate equivalent in size to a 35mm frame (36mm x 24mm). This will give you a better idea of what the grain looks like. Ignore the stinkin' dust.

No, I haven't yet seen the need for it. The subtle effect on bright objects in the scene is pleasing to me, and not overpowering. I think the emulsion thickness helps this. See the picture of the abandoned car in my media.

I bought some plates from you specifically because they do not have an antihalation coating. I'm after a wet plate look without the "wet."

For 4X5 I have two: A Graflex Pacemaker Speed Graphic from the 50s, and a Seneca No 2 from ~1905. I've had others on and off for the past couple years. The Seneca was my first large format camera, and I settled on the Graflex for general use.

For the Speed Graphic, do you use a standard dry plate holder... and if so, is any focal plane adjustment needed?

I used "regular" plate holders. Just have to pay attention to the rib stop position on older holders.

I checked focus and the distance from lens flange to both film and plates is exactly the same. Which makes sense since film sheaths were designed to be inserted in plate holders and properly position the film for focus. I did this while checking positioning of my ground glass and fresnel plate in the Graflex back.

Proof is in the pudding, tho. Compare focus for the truck with the film shots taken at the same time in my media postings.

Cut down some glass I had squirreled away to make a bunch of quarter plates with my latest batch of emulsion (batch #005). They came out absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could take a picture of the plates to share, but of course that would ruin them. At least I can show you the box.

I need to double check what I have to support this, but I may want some 9x12 (cm) plates that I can shoot in my Recomar and Agfa Standard. Need to double check the hardware, but I am pretty sure I have some Kodak plate holders in this size.

Yeah, got three of those Kodak 9x12's for my Zeiss folder. Shoot regular 9x12 negatives in them but have wondered they they are also plate holders. They have a spring back steel plate, that presses against the 4 sided edge of the holder.
So would these take a glass plate?

Jason, great job on the 4x5 plates, I'm watching this thread with great admiration for your work. How do you print from plates? contact prints at 4x5 are really small. Is there a way to use the plates in the enlarger?

I bought an old DeJure 4x5 enlarger. The film holders for the DeJure are dual aluminum plate types that just sandwich the negative. With no hinge, the plate fits in fine.

I just coated a set of plates 11" x 14" in size for a gentleman who requested them. They came out awesome. I wish I could take a picture of the finished plate, although I did get pics while I was prepping the glass.

I have been using modified Graflex Pack film holders for glass plates with success for the past 3.5 years. Two sheets of foamcore hold the plate against the front of holder. I blocked the area where the film moved in the pack with foamcore and electrical tape. The main downside is each holder can only hold one plate.
