Foma may be a poor substitute for you but I can't wait another 8 years.. use available materials and keep foma alive in the meantimeFomatone has a yellowish base. That makes it a poor substitute for Polywarmtone.
I just went to the Polywarmtone project's site and there are no updates to the blog since 2014 year end...

Ilford WT don't cut it for me...the surface looks like it's ferrotyped

He stated that at the moment they were busy modifying their own production coater and finetuning its dryer for the coating of their CHS 100 II.
They aim at a production run within this quarter. Once that has been done their production line should stand clear for tuning for the production of the Polywarmtione paper. In the meanwhile they have twice worked on a substitute for one of its elements.
I've made some nice prints on the 542. .overall I prefer the #131/132..haven't tried seagull yet but the coldtone is very nice almost a little warm+1 I also enjoy Adox paper (Lupex) and will try the PolyW upon its arrival...
in the meantime
Even though most of my prints are coldtone, I do some runs of warmtone imagery…
Developer:
Foma Fomatol PW (W24) Warm-Tone Powder Paper Developer
Paper:
-- FOMATONE MG Classic 532-II, 542-II // the 542 is my main choice. The very creamy base (what many don’t like) is my preference. I use about 300 sheets of the 532, apprx 500 sheets per year of the 542. Some of this quantity is ‘lith’
OR
--Oriental Seagull Select VC-FB Warm Tone Black & White Variable Contrast Double Weight Smooth Glossy
A few months ago, with much W24 mixed, I made a few test prints on Seagull WT… that first print made me buy 10 boxes of the Seagull… it is my replacement for Ilford WT.

It’s been almost a year since Mirko’s last update on the Polywarmtone project and I was wondering if there was any progress to report.
The last statement on this thread was 12 weeks ago on October 13, the last statement on the blog and the facebook blog were in 2014. Where do you see a statement 6 weeks ago?
The last statement by Mirko about Polywarmtone was on November 27th 2016. 6 weeks before I posted.
And 1 1/2 years ago by now...
