Assuming that the new product isn't just more re-badged film from the Innoviscoat source.
And no, I don't have any reliable information concerning this.

The website is back up with a post saying they’re back up and running with more of their existing films on the way to the market, and new things to be announced: https://www.filmferrania.com/news/bckontrack
This is a good thing.
I wonder if the operation in Italy is alive and relatively well?
Ferrania were working to build film confectioning/finishing capacity - something that Harman, for one, makes a meaningful part of their income from.
May I ask if there is any evidence whatsoever that forthcoming "Ferrania" film will be sourced from somewhere other than the Ferrania LRF ? Or is it just a rumour started here at Photrio?
From what I can see, and I accept that I am a glass half full kind of guy, the factory was successfully producing P30, P33 and Orto not so long ago. So unlike resuming production after a decade or more inactivity, it is a relatively turnkey operation to get more of those products out. They already enjoy a good reputation for QC and for the products themselves, and while niche they have regular users and purchasers.
I certainly hope that P30 and P33 can be continuously produced. I like P30 in certain circumstances, and while it's not an everyday film I do buy a few rolls every year. And I've run out. I'd like to try P33, especially in 120 if it appears.
Just developed a roll of Ferrania Orto 50 - I found a couple of rolls for sale locally, possibly stock leftovers.
The film is hanging to dry, looking forward to the images tomorrow.
I've been reading good things about its 'proper' orthochromatic spectral frequency, something I've been looking for. Foma Orto 400 is nice in terms of spectral response, but I am not a fan of the excessive halation, whereas I've found Ilford Ortho 80 to be too similar to FP4+ for my liking.
I made a video about Orto 50 a while back... I quite liked it. Really nice contrast, and sharpness. I would like to see this stuff again, but in 120.
I like it, but it needs careful development to moderate its contrast, IMO.

I took Matt's comment to just him mentioning a theoretical possibility --- playing devil's advocate. I did not get the impression that he thought this is what's happening. But I might've misunderstood.

I did hear it's a tricky one. Based on what I had read on P30, which is much more popular, I tried exposing the Orto at 25 EI and developed it in HC110 1:63 for 10 minutes. Based on what I can see from the wet negatives I don't think I'm too far off - though actually I could have given it even more exposure.
At EI 50, in a two-bath, it was just outstanding.

we do have to wait. the German "camera" magazine (from click and sur) arived here this week, it indicated that mr. seal might use the ferrania finishing line to pack his wolfen nc200 film, as well as producing p30/p33. not an issue if the two products are identified correctly. as usual - very little detail.
would still rather shoot the colour negative that 3M used to sell if it could be made fresh to 3M standards.
Well, they're certainly optimistic. What will APUG say?
APUG hasn't said a whole lot since it went out of existence.APUG says
APUG says "WE WANT COLOR FILM"!
And also APUG says: "If you can't do color, then please sell your BW stuff in 127, 126 and 220 format!"
