Does any company make a shutter release cable without these flaws?

I wish the good quality German ones (also quite reasonably priced) can be bought in the US easily. Have to check shipping and customs costs.

@Klaus_H what is the main advantage of the stainless steel one over the plastic one in your experience? I am leaning towards the stainless steel because I expect that would last longer.

as I own both versions of the professional release with ball brake, black and transparent stainless steel, too.
I have to say that the transparent one isn't as flexible as the black one.
So for general use I recommand the black or colored cables.
