Today we visited the Orford Ness nuclear test site and shingle spit. Quite bizar site.

I took this picture some time ago. But I am convinced it needed some extra drama. Today I have been busy trying to get reasonable black and white prints from my inkjet printer. Maybe I'm overdosed it.

Not in my book - besides, people will point out that the top right corner is perfectly in keeping with Adams' later printings of Moonrise.
Btw, top version for me, please. The white triangle is important, I think.

I took this picture some time ago. But I am convinced it needed some extra drama. Today I have been busy trying to get reasonable black and white prints from my inkjet printer. Maybe I'm overdosed it.

Not over-dosed, but you have changed the balance of the image a bit with the darkening of the right upper corner to that degree (relative to the upper left of the image). The darker upper right sets up a nice play back-and-forth off the blacks of the building in the lower left, especially on the image with brighter sun-lit landscape (gravel spit?). The brighter sun-lit landscape gives me more of a feel of a nuclear test site.

Looking at the pic I shared of the ball game makes me realize that I need to tell you all that the park doesn’t actually slant to the right, but I tend to slant to the left no matter the camera I’m holding. When I got a bubble level for my hasselblad it changed my life, I tell ya’.

My horizons are never ever straight! I just deal with it in the darkroom or with software.

Waiting for the bus. I like how playing around with the exposure makes the sun look apocalyptically close.
