Google lens says it's a Beefsteak mushroom
A.k.a. fistulina hepatica; I'm not 100% positive as it just miiiight be a reddish ganoderma sp. But f. hepatica sounds like a reasonable guess. One glance at the bottom would clarify. Nice find; I don't come across them very often and usually they're far beyond well done by the time I find them!

It’s almost impossible to pass a field with sunflowers without taking a picture.

These clouds seem to me like patterns in beach sand.

Somehow looking between rare and well done.😎
No wonder they say you can just chop it up and throw it into a salad! 🙃

Thanks for sharing! I just admire them from afar. I'll see if it's still there next time I go to that park.

A couple of days in and fall is already claiming its first victims

Hah! The snake seemed in an odd state, possibly sleeping. I wondered if it was dead but there was a little movement when I touched it with a leaf. It does appear that the eyes are closed.

Testing my focusing skills with the view camera. Every year the focusing screen gets more fussy. Or maybe, but that’s highly unlikely, my eyes get older.😉
