When I got back from Sacramento I went into my darkroom and started fiddling with the shim plates. I do not have a long enough knurled screw, but with a Phillips screw instead I added one more shim plate and now I have all three lenses on the turret for the first time! Thank you.
The Voigtländer Vito II was my first serious camera and I learned to use the distance scale for determining the depth of field. You might try getting some white engraving wax to see if you can restore the numbers before buying another one, not the the replacement price is high.
Unlike you I do have not scanned any slides and I have better things to do with my life than scan 100,000+ slides. The GND is useless for skies with trees, buildings or mountains on the horizon. Since I do not live in New Jersey my horizons are not at flat as a pancake.

A 45 degree prism finder on a Medium Format camera would allow you to use either eye.
I can and do use either eye with my Hasseblad with the PME prism.
The physics are the same for color slide, color negative and black & white negative film and all will expose properly. Your expectation level is unrealistic because the sky falls where it is supposed to and the way it is supposed to.
