Hey all!
I've got a few small things I need to get, and I've also got a few things hangin about, not getting much use! So basically, I need to sell some stuff to pay for other, more needed stuff! Plain and simple :)
1. Sekonic L-778 spot meter
Works great. 1° or 3° window of angle, and has a...
Hey everyone,
thank you for your replies. I'm not against cutting down an RB67 screen, it's just that I need to find the (right) type of screen to cut down(center clear spot preferably). Now the waiting game begins on the online auction site ;)
cheers,
Dan
Looking for a Bay VI --> 67mm step up adapter ring. Preferable to a Heliopan(brass), but an aluminum one from across the sea is fine too.
I can send payment via Paypal, personal check, or Google Wallet.
shipping to the greater Los Angeles area
thx,
Dan
I had a Steve Hopf made borosilicate ground glass for my 5x7 Deardorff, and it was a great screen. However, I just picked up a Rolleiflex SL66, and the stock screen is quite scratched up and a bit dim(I'm using the WLF, 80mm lens).
I know these screens aren't too expensive($30 for the...
I have a 210mm Symmar-S that's a damn good lens, and I'm not using it. I've used it for color and b/w shooting, no sweat.
Yours for $225 shipped to you in Canada.
I can supply pictures if you want to see it. PM me if you're interested
cheers,
Dan
Film is no longer for sale, sorry everyone. I have a project that could benefit from a more "muddied" look that is easier to attain with outdated film like this.
I believe that the AR-5 process was designed for AERIAL films, and that it allowed for the full range of the IR spectrum to be "developed" out vs E-6, which yielded a more poppy, fun-to-look-at color scheme.
IIRC, the AR-5 process also included a hardener step before the 1st developer. I've...

Hey all,
Does anyone have experience with the Durst-Pro-USA made EST1500N power supply?
http://www.durst-pro-usa.com/power_supply.php
I'm looking at a Durst 1200 w/ a CLS501 colorhead for sale locally, but I believe that the power supply/transformer box is fried. Seller doesn't know, and isn't...

Hey all,
A friend of mine is moving across the country tomorrow, and this afternoon while helping him do some last minute packing, he asked me to help him sell this paper.
He has had it in the refrigerator for the past few years, but it was out of refrigeration for approx 6mo before that.

FYI, if you want a great (local) lab, give Data-Chrome a try. They're in Santa Ana, and Rochelle Burch(owner/operator) is a real gem to work with.

Tell her I sent you :)
cheers,
Dan
Where did you send your film? I believe some of the larger-scale E-6 labs like Dwayne's use/used the cinema-style processors geared/modified for LARGE scale E-6 processing. I could be wrong about Dwaynes though, but IIRC, their Kodachrome machine was this type of design.

These are really nice cameras. Even for "field" use when working within walking/carrying distance from the car. Very stable as long as you have a sufficient tripod underneath it(why do folks always skimp on the tripod  ?).
Wish I kept mine, and this one is tempting; but alas, I've...
Use 11x14 paper and trim it down.
Ilford cuts b/w multigrade RC paper into 10" and 12" wide rolls(250' or 500') for minilabs that use b/w paper in their machines. B&H has a 10-20 minimum order qty, so if you can get a roll from a lab, that way you can cut your own 10x12 sized sheets from the...
I found that under-rating color neg film(say, Portra 400VC @ 1600, so 2 stops underexposed), then push it 1 stop(so 1 stop underdeveloped), gave me "muddied" blacks that were not totally black. I was printing for the highlights remember, and everything was underexposed. The chalky blacks gave an...
call them and let them know.
this lady does E-6, actually that's her business, E-6 :). I now send her all of my E-6 film, and it's wonderfully processed, exactly as I ask it to be done.

Hey all,
I haven't used this in a while, and since I'm moving and won't have as much time to dedicate to photography, this needs a new home that'll show it the love/use it deserves. Fully functional, comes w/ box and instruction booklet.
**I'm flying out of L.A. THIS Saturday evening(3/22), so...
