    Tele lens for Mamiya RB67

I'll paste in my response thatI also sent in PM.... I had an oldie 360 and it was quite decent. I'd definitely look for the 350 KL though, which will be better corrected, for color work. I have the 210 and that thing is *amazing*.... a kenko 2x on that would probably be quite good. Don't...

Focusing with SFX film and SFX/R72 filter in a SLR camera

Yep, experimentation is definitely necessary. It really depends on the filter used, and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much agreement between the different filters. Anyway, with my #87, the prescription is about right. It does vary with glass and filter though, of course. N.b. the...

Focusing with SFX film and SFX/R72 filter in a SLR camera

Focus ~10% closer and stop down a bit more for good measure; that will be sufficient for most of the current film/filter combinations. If you rig an apo process lens on there, chances are good that it'll not need any refocus. I proved this some time ago on an LF field camera using a...

Handa made RAF Biogon 38mm unit

Sounds like there are already people here who'd like to place orders! This is great. I'd like something in a ~210-300 mm focal length that covers 5x7 and is f/2.8, please :)

I FINALLY Understand... Bokeh & Aperture Roundness

The Mamiya 150 SF may entertain. Apart from that and similar imagon lenses, you can of course get an LF lens and rip out the aperture blades and make yourself a perfectly round aperture disc. I did this with an old convertible lens and, notwithstanding the 5 minutes of math I had to do to...

    Why did half frame die?

I understand that with some work you can modify one of those trendy APS / half-frame digital things to run genuine film through it. I haven't tried the modification myself yet, though.

Want to Buy Looking for UV lenses for all cameras, especially Zeiss UV-Sonnar & UV Rodagon 150mm

Something I thought of doing a long time ago but never got around to it: you could probably purchase individual fused quartz elements and achromats from Edmund Scientific and put together something like a tessar with high UV transmission.

Rangefinder Lens prices...will they keep increasing?

I think that's a bit coarse. The new Chinese consumer is young, educated, and not inclined to work insqualid conditions for low wages. We need to recognize that, encourage responsible behavior, welcome them to the modern world, and let bygones be...

Rollei IR 400 in mixed light with IR flash

Yes, the Rollei (and similar) film only pokes a bit past the visible red. To get "true" IR effects I find that deep filters and rather large exposure compensations are needed with this film. Let me suggest superpan and a deep red gel over the flash.

Rangefinder Lens prices...will they keep increasing?

This is true, and I have heard several times, from independent sources, that the trend in China (still growing at 10%) favors authenticity i.e. the Chinese consumer is quickly moving away from discounted knockoffs, and there is a new pride associated with owning high-end, brand-name products...

Rollei IR 400 in mixed light with IR flash

It's an interesting idea. I am a bit doubtful that you'll get much boost for the IR flash, though. What's it output spectrum? if you put an rm72 over the light source, I doubt you'll get much extra exposure of the film. It'll just have to be tried. This film has rather limited IR...

Wikipedia suggests that tea shodul have much higher quercetin levels... I think my approach would be the opposite- get a lot of different kinds, throw in some red onions to, make a nice soup. Something in the soup will do the job. I guess there is a fair amount of selenium in there too...
