Has anyone ever attempted or successfully copied a digital file back to a negative? Is there a simple, high quality way to put a digital back onto a negative? I have a few really swell images that would be awesome as prints, and I want to emulate the film look organically (not in photoshop).

Thanks

Only procedure I know of, is to invert the photo into a negative, print that and then contact print it in the darkroom, I've done this with a photo I wanted to create a lith print from.
- I would believe that you would have to do something with contrast before printing, as contact prints require a higher contrast printed negative (I think, don't quote me on that).

Other than that, I suppose you could print it, photograph it with a good film based camera, process the film and then print as usual in the darkroom.
