Meanwhile I had a look at my own connectors/cables collection
From such plugs with identical hot contacts I got 3 versions concerning outer shape.

That does not make solving this puzzle easier

Anyways i had rewired mine and it’s ok using a PC style connector. OP found the original cable.

There is that one with the earthing, a non- earthed one that is wider so that it could not be plugged into the non-earthed socket and another unearthed plug that is smaller even than the erarthed plug and thus can be erroneously put into an earthed socket
