Here is my recent purchase: A Graflex Crown Graphic with the usual 135mm f/4.7 Wollensak Optar. It is in amazing shape. The battery cover (which is usually lost) is not only included, but the battery compartment had a black painted wooden block installed to avoid leaking batteries. A couple sample images, too.

This was a big reach for me.

I love the 4x5 Norma.

The 5x7 I bought recently is too new for me to offer any opinion really.

When the 8x10 appeared at a price I could just scrape past I couldn't stop myself.

I shoot a Plaubel Peco Profia 5x7 and a Linhof Super Technika V 5x7 and love the 5x7 format and I am sure you will too. I have always had a eye out for a Plaubel Profia 8x10 back and bellows but I hope I don't find one because going down that rabbit hole would be a whole new experience. I have a Kodak 2D 8x10 that needs a lot more use than I have given it in the past

You have some very cool cameras.

I'm just not sure where and how the 5x7 will fit into my workflow. It was very well priced and an obvious jump up from 4x5 so I didn't think too deeply about it. I even have two film holders waiting for the day. So I'm not sorry I bought it.

Certainly it will see some use as I try some of the alternative processes. I have made gum prints in 4x5 and they are just not big enough to suit me.

The 8x10 is obviously ideal for this when I perfect my technique. I want to try carbon prints and photogravures over the next few years.

I have a big darkroom upgrade on the way and that will determine a lot of the direction I can take in the future.

While I've owned the Rolleiflex T for 40 years, I just recently took it out of the drawer it'd been stored in, put a roll in it, and it's shooting like dream; unlike the 2.8F laying next to it which is in for a full CLA. The other is a Yashica Mat 124G which I found on ebay listed as recently CLA'd. It's shooting well also, replacing my old 124G which is with Mark Hamas getting the shutter lube spatter problem fixed.

I now own a Minolta Autocord which takes 6x6photos 12 on std roll and with a Seconiclight meter the photos are well exposed.
I also own Olympus penFTsx2(one with a 1.2 lens) and 2 OMs one ,OM1 and OM4Ti with a Vivitar Series1,35-85varifocal lensboth OMs have a split prism veiw finder as i find that accurate focus with a split prism is easier de to 'vernier capacity' of the eye being better at short focal lengths.I find that beingOCD in the darkroom helps,especially with regard to processing films, I also own a paterson tank that accommodates both 120 film and 35mm film.I used to filter all solutions using a Buchner funnel and Venturi pumpwith ashless filter paper.I had installed an ioniser in the bathroom that doubled as my darkroom to remove all traces of suspended talcom powder.I was able to set up the Darkroom at a moments notice due to a series of velcro based 'blinds' that I was able to put in place to ensure darkness.I now own 3 OMD EM5s. I used to do weddings and contrary to then practice,used to give the weded couple the negatives once I had made the initial prints.which usually included a 2x proof.

I found an old friend Minolta srt101 with 58mm 1.4 lens that I had boxed up years ago. I have way too many film cameras but people were giving them to me or selling for $15.00 and I did not know when to stop. 200+ was enough. a minolta F100 for $25.00 Anyhow my question is if the srt101 needs light seals or not ,the door has deep grooves around it and on 1940s and 1950s cameras they did not require seals because of the deep grooves.??
