Did the additional lenses come with the little case they originally came in? Some of those cases (though not all) are designed to function as a hood for the lens as well. Some very clever engineering. I have the big C in Schneider version, and its definitely my favorite rangefinder.

no- just lens caps of one variety or another. But it does have a two-piece lens hood that says "Kodak 35mm" on it, that must go to the 35mm lens because it's too small in diameter to fit the 80. Mine are Schneider lenses as well.
Still, it sounds like a pretty nice kit you got there. I love the Xenotar lens’s rendering.
I purchased a Minolta Maxxum 600si a while ago and wanted the battery grip but they seem to be a rare commodity. I found a Maxxum 650si that had a grip which the seller would not sell separately so I made a deal and got both. The camera worked but the grip material was cracked and falling apart. I figured, no big deal since I got the battery grip which is what I wanted...but after removing all of the cracked grip I discovered a product called Sugru, a silicone type of "Playdoh" that was very moldable and was pliable for at least 30 minutes. My first attempt is shown in the picture. Not perfect by any means but it looks good except under close inspection. It has a soft rubbery feel, is comfortable and sticks very good. Sugru comes in 3 and 6 "packs" and it took 3 packs to do the grip.

My biggest mistake was to not mix the 3 packages together, instead I used 1 at a time and worked my way across the grip blending one into the other. Next time (if) I will know better.
Using smooth round plastic tools help in the tight spots.

Hey. I recently bought a Asahi Pentax ME with a 50mm f1.7. I haven’t shot it yet. The back cover feels a little loose, but the seller says there should be no light leakage.
And if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon. The seller is dead wrong or lying. The Pentax M series leak light like a sieve if the seals are compromized, and if the back feels loose it does need new seals.
It's not hard to do and the material is pretty cheap on *bay. I've done it a couple times, including to a very leaky Canonet GIII.
In all honesty though, you can probably find a better K-mount body for twenty or thirty bucks. I guess I've had fun with an ME before but it's not the camera I would want to be my main K-mount.

You may be very right, but I thought I’d test with one roll of film.
And honestly you may find that it doesn't leak on every frame. That's how some of these Pentaxes are. In that case you just kinda decide whether it's worth it for you to repair or just take your chances.
By “loose”, do you mean it is loose on its hinge or it has some in and out movement when latched? If the latter, then some new seals in the film door channels is needed. Eric Hendrickson at pentaxs.com can refurb the camera for you.

I was gifted one of these, Nikon F with non-meter prism. Comes with an F36 MD and a AA battery pack. It works. I also got a bunch of nice Minolta flash meters and a spot meter. And a mint C3 thrown in to boot. It also came with a 105 2.5 handing off the front. That's on my F3 now. I gave the F a more appropriate 50 1.4

A little heavy on the light meter side, but it would keep you from buying light meters or at least a month or two.

A little heavy about sums up the haul. The F with the MD loaded with 8 batteries. The C3 isn't a feather either.
Just ordered the Nikon f/2.8 20mm to 35mm AF-D zoom lens to replace my previous one that has mysteriously went hiding when I bought the Nikon f/3.5 28mm PC, the Nikon fl2.8 24mm AF-D and the Nikon f/2.8 AF lenses into the house. The orginal Nikon f/2.8 20mm to 35mm AF zoom lens seems to have taken that personally and has run off or is in serious hiding.
In the "old" days commercial and industrial photographers who had to shoot under very strange artificial lighting, such as a open hearth forge or mixed floor flood lighting, would use the color meter to determine the color temperature then use color correction filters to match either chrome or negative color film.
The C-3 is definitely for defense. Banging on a thief's head will reset his registers.
I had that colour meter, though I seldom used it.
The biggest advantage that I see to colour meters is with positive colour film and keeping the same colour balance throughout a series.
Negatives can be tweaked in the enlargement but positives, aka slides, are best corrected in the camera, IMO.
If I had the assortment of Wratten gel CC filters I have now, I would have kept that meter, but without Cibachrome, and no shooting Modern and Ballet dancers, I seldom shoot colour these days..
That and the fact of the long term colour changes in Ektachromes I shot, make me hesitant of shooting new Ektachromes without a quality way to print them by myself.
That spotmeter is a dandy but, is more delicate than a Pentax V, etc.

Interesting. Useful back in the day, kind of pointless for me now. I ignore color balance because I'm lazy.
Funny, this is my 3rd C3 that I was given. I can start building a house with them soon.
Spotmeter is fun to use. I'll take it out when I shoot 4x5. Someone might call the local PD on me though.
Ain't it? Finished the roll. I'll post up a photo of it with the F36 attached. Single owner, fella bought it new back in the 60's and took it 'round the world. You can't buy brassing like that.
You do need to be careful the meter holster is no mistake for a firearm, it's a real possibility whether you wear it or pull it out of your kit, in public.
