I was very tempted by a black plain prism Nikon F with a 50mm f2 pre- A1 Nikkor yesterday, but decided against it because I'm a Canon FD guy and don't really want to get involved in another system, and the shop wanted far more money for it than it's worth.
I did not realize the Ford/Chevy war reached into the photography battlefield as well. One should not own both Nikons and Canons! Choose one and stay with it. The two should not share a home.

Beautiful! My latest acquisition. Fantastic piece of camera!
On my shelves the Rolleis, Agfas and the two Nikons live together in perfect harmony with the other ones. Lomo, Fuji and such.
Two shelves to the left and one shelf down the koran and the bible are leaning on each other, also in harmony. So far no fires or weird noises.
I do not own any Canons so I'm safe anyway![]()
My newest old camera.
How did I go so long without having one??
Man what a camera!

You need to cock the shutter before retracting the lens. These are very nice: good lens and very compact.
If I remember correctly, there was an item with the shutter. Should it be cocked before retracting the lens, or not? I'm not sure anymore.
