Yes, very! I've got a "Foldex 30" that was made to take either 120 or 620, so it's a convenient way to move a roll of 120 film to a 620 spool, but I've only done it a couple times. It's hard to tell from my photos, but this camera is quite compact.

Bought my dream 35mm! Right on here too! Smooth transaction This I believe is the first 35mm I've bought here on APUG, those other Nikons were local acquisitions.

Most of the glass was local too, that 20mm was an APUG score I've been doing IR film with it. This is why I love APUG I can get the equipment I want from real photographers without paying the collector's tax I have used APUG mostly for buying expired and obscure films, and large format equipment (bought my whole 4x5 outfit on here, dirt cheap too!)

Sold my F3P and FM2n. Added another Nikkormat FTn that was in a $10 box at the PSPCS camera show & swap meet, and, with the funds earned from selling those two bodies, picked up a nicer F3P that's also much closer to my original body, serial number-wise. 307 bodies older, instead of 1355 bodies older.

There's also a $5.50 Nikomat FTn that's to be used as a donor for both of the Nikkormat FTn bodies.

I was at the PSPCS swap meet as well (I'm sitting in a restaurant now on the way home).

I'll post photos later of my mAd acKwisitions.

Frankly, in the many years or so going there, I never saw so many Nikkormat FTN's. That was it - just FTN's (not that I'm complaining). The winner for me was one for $5 that seemed to work perfectly. It had a mildly dented prism (did not affect the image) and a somewhat stiff shutter speed ring.

I also saw a Kodak Ektra - wow.

I didn't realize that you were local. BradleyK was planning to be there (had an F eyelevel for him in the car), but, since he left his phone at home, I couldn't get in touch with him.

Mine came from one of the back tables. Older woman with curly hair who was running it. She had a box of stuff that was $10 per item. If you need a better nameplate, since, if I remember correctly, there's come tape residue on yours, I'll have the black "Nikkormat" nameplate from the camera I posted above. The donor FTn from Roberts Camera will be providing its Nikomat nameplate to the black FTn, while Camera Clinic Doug works on that body.

This is my Nikkormat FT2; I bought it last summer. Not sure who had the nameplate issue.

For $20 I could've bought a bag full of Nikkormat FTN's today. Maybe should've done that - they all worked!

Anyway, clean looking FT2...

Kinda wish the guys in the corner with the 50% off sale had some Nikons other than the lone EM. Also wish that their Spotmatic II had worked properly. Was tempted to take it home as well.

At Saturday's PSPCS annual swap meet, I bought some nice things.

First, for $5, a Polaroid EE 100 Super. It will take Fuji pack film. The interesting thing about these is the film speed selector. As with many other pack film Polaroids, the 75 selection shoots wide open (f/9.2) and the 3000 selection is stopped down quite a bit (f/58). This means daylight shooting is no problem but interiors or dim light will result in a multi-second exposure unless a flashcube is used. However, this camera has an additional "3000 ER" setting which keeps the aperture wide open for 3000 speed film. With that setting I could make photos in dim interior lighting at hand-holdable shutter speeds.

Alas, a flashlight revealed later that the bellows has pinholes. I'll have to repair it somehow or get it replaced.

Second, for $100, a near mint OM-2N with Zuiko 50/1.4 lens. It works nicely and is my first Olympus SLR.

Third, for $1, an Agfa Silette L with Compur-Rapid shutter and 50/2.8 lens. All shutter speeds and the self-timer work! The selenium meter works! The lens focuses from infinity to about three feet. The cover for the meter is missing, so I'll have to fabricate one. On the meter dial, you set the film's speed, then turn the dial to match the needle with the diamond indicator. I don't understand the green readout, but the EV readout in red can be set manually on the lens. The speeds and aperture are normally EV interlocked unless you pull a tab - all this is just like on an old Hasselblad C lens. Finally, there's a window on the rewind dial that says "100 ASA", ostensibly just a reminder, but there seems to be no way to change it - nor does it seem that there are other choices that would appear in the window. Strange. This is really a fun little camera.

This is my first post on this whole forum....but I am so excited!!!!

In the past three weeks, my wife and I have equipped me for 35mm again. Between birthday gifts and my own spending....I have a really good start.

Congratulations, the Canon F-1 New is the best 35mm camera I own and the best 35mm camera i've used.

You're in great company with those three lenses -- the 135/2.5 is the perfect 135, being sharp wide open and having fantastic bokeh. Downside is that it is very heavy for a 135! The 50/1.4 is a classic. The 28/2.8 does not have a famous reputation but i've tried one and it's a good lens with zero distortion (something I appreciate).

I love the silver mount ring, prime lens from Canon....heavy, solid and really good glass.

I am just giddy with happiness.....shooting 35mm again.

I'm a Canon FD equipment fan so you can ask me whatever you want about the system.

I see you like the "silver ring" (breech lock mount) FD primes, but let me tell you, don't overlook the later "bayonet-mount" FD primes ("New FD"), which sometimes are derided as less sturdy. Internally they have a good design -easy to mantain- and the focus helicals on them last forever due to improved design. Also, some of the New FD lenses have improved optical formulas.

AND don't overlook the older FL lenses, there are some good gems on there, for example the FL 19/3.5R which I like a lot. Or the FL 85-300/5 which is an overbuilt monster.

Congratulations on your first OM.
My first one was also an OM-2N.
A few tips:
1- Please, read the manual. The -2 has a few things that no other cameras has. Manual is at the bottom and it is 2 parts: http://esif.world-traveller.org/om-sif/bodygroup/om2.htm
2- Only use SR44 Silver batteries. Never use the LR44 alkaline ones. The meter is sensitive to voltage fluctuations.
3- Enjoy it!

Turns out the $5.50 donor FTn was in better mechanical/electrical shape than the FTn that came with the 50/2 Nikkor. So, they've swapped places. I replaced the broken rewind shaft and the missing rewind crank on the donor body with the parts from the other black body. Since it has decent foam, I'll pick up a battery and start using it as is. The chrome body will be going in for refoaming, meter calibration to 1.5 volts, focusing screen swap (I prefer the J-type microprism screen in the Nikkormat bodies to the K-type and A-type with the horizonal split), and restringing of the shutter speed indicator strip in the viewfinder. Will send the black body I started cannibalizing parts from with it.
