No, no, no!! One for black & white film; one for color print film and one for slides. One set of lenses covers all three.

One for B&W, One for B&W I don't swap lenses I swap cameras. I'll use the 20 & the 35 or the 28 & the 50, or the 35 & the 105.

If I shoot color I will shoot 120/220 in my 6x9 view or Hasselblad

That Rolleiflex looks great, are the lenses larger than say, a Yashica, or do they just look big due to a smaller body?

Those are the big honking tele lenses! ...and they're only f/4!

Rolleiflex big glass looks great. I've got only a 3.5F and it looks dinky compared to 2.8E's or 2.8F's.

Shiver me timbers! That's exactly what I do - when I buy a body, I buy a lens for it (preferably one I don't already have). When I buy a new (to me) lens, I buy a body. I like having cameras that can interchange lenses, I just don't like changing them once they're on! I can do this with inexpensive equipment. I do have some exceptions.

Glad to see that you finally got what you wanted. Does it have the motor plate installed, or does it have the regular plate? With respect to the 50/2, I'd save that for your newer F, and pick up either one of the last no lens mount screw 50/2 H lenses (around 704xxx serial-wise), or one of the first type II 50/2 H lenses that takes the #3 AI ring. Something around 742xxx-743xxx should be close enough age-wise. Then, it'll be age-matched.

And, like Theo and HiHoSilver, never get tired of F pr0n, even though I was two years too late to have an F that was my age. For me, it'd have to be a lower 755xxxx serial F2 body.

An Ensign 220 Auto-Range which despite the name uses 120 film for 6x6 or 6x4.5 frames.

Adapters for current batteries are easy to make. They are no super voltage sensitive like some of the older cams.

What I've noticed recently is that the price of Yashica TLR's have started to rise, anyone else noticed this.

Has someone somewhere written a glowing report as to how good they are

Lots of posts on the medium format thread, the only Yashica TLR that had a 35mm capability was the 635, it was a built on a D body, had inserts and finder mask for 35mm, but as I recall had the 3 elements lens rather than the 4 element of the later Ds and the 124s. I had one I found used, in the 70s, but like the Konica Omega Flex was difficult shoot horizontal, although with 80mm in 35mm mode in vertical made a nice portrait camera.

I have a sort of love hate relationship with my Yashica D.

Sometimes I think it is great to use , then sometimes it frustrates me for no reason or logic.

I then start thinking, should I try a medium format SLR, then reality kicks in, would there be any real advantage apart from lens interchangeability, so for now I'll stick with the simpler lighter TLR.

back to 35mm, just got a new working Petri FT II, had not had chance to shoot a roll of film with it, may take it to the zoo this week and shoot with the 300 F5 Petri I got a few weeks but also untested.

Haven't even got it yet, it's in the mail. An antique Deardorff 8X10 from the early production days with brass parts. I've had Deardorff's before but never an oldy. It has the square lens board so I'm kind of hoping the Kodak 2D 6X6 boards will interchange with the 'dorff. Did I need another 8X0. 'course not! Can't wait to wax it up and use it.
