New old stock (NOS): rubber grip set for my Nikon F5. Mine has sticky rubbers.

I got the SRT 102, Vivitar 35-85 2.8 and Tokina 35-135 from KEH and the SRT 202 from Ebay. The Vivitar is in good shape but the Tokina has haze-it was sold as "ugly" for 4 usd. The 202 needs work. The shutter speed indicator across the bottom of the finder has came loose and is across the focus screen. And occasionally the mirror sticks in the up position. Next week I'm gonna send the 202 to a shop.

I've bought several recently...the first is a Konica Autoreflex T3n along with a T2. Also picked up a Minolta SR-1 in great condition at a flea market, and bought a Vivitar 400/SL to use alongside the 220/SL that I inherited from my father. My favorite though is the Nikon F3HP that should arrive on Monday. That has always been one of my favorite cameras.

I started looking for an A1 recently. Today I went to my aunt's house and she gave me my late uncle's camera-she said it was a Canon but didn't know which model. While she went to get it, I was hoping for an A1. No such luck it was a TX. Everything is working even the meter. Mirror and shutter would stick for the first few shots then worked free. But the mirror still sticks occasionally then goes down when you advance the film. Even though it's more of an entry model I'm still going to send it for a CLA since it was my uncle's. I also have my late dad's Nikon N6006 which is in perfect working order. I regret selling my grandpa's AE-1 about 15 years ago.

I don't know if I would seriously waste the cost of a CLR on an old TX. Replace the mirror foam yourself. They were probably a reliable camera in their day but I don't know if keeping it in prime condition is worth the price. Find an old F1 to spend the $$ for a CLA. But this is just my opinion but look at what camera collectors as spending $$ on to keep favorites in prime condition. Probably just a quick cleaning yourself should make it last for many more years.

a TX is quite nice, very rare here in Germany, you always only see FTb here. You cant believe that it was released in 1975, only one year before the AE1. 1/500 sec was poor, as even the low cost GDR Cameras here had 1/1000 this was not sellable in 1975, especially as Canon lenses were quite pricey here.

I would not make a CLA if it works after some gymnastics. Foam can easily changed yourself, and save the CLA money for a F1N or T90.

Both lens and body arrived yesterday:

I already own a chrome F2AS so I shouldn't have wasted my money on another F2, but this F2A was in black and she shares with me the manufacturing date (late March '78) so I decided to go for it.

I also opted for an Arsat N (post dissolution Soviet Helios 81N made by the Kiev Arsenal) because I wanted something different from the "usual" Nikkor 50 mm f2, I hope to get some swirly bokeh and I have a good experience with its KMZ mates in M42 (even if the 81 is a different design from the 44), unfortunatley the lens is NOS and the aperture sometimes get stuck, probably because of the dust it collected.

actually 2 of them, one is an empire state 1 ( 11x14 ) and it is portible ( my other big one is on a semi centennial stand
the other received a week + ago .. its a beautiful little 122 roll film eating strut camera ... ( with someone's old roll of film in it )

A beautiful Polaroid 680. Like new and with a complete CLA.
It was refurbished by THE Polaroid Camera Repair Men (with 43 years of experience) now working for Impossible in Enschede, Holland.

The Polaroid SLR 680 camera was first introduced in 1982, and was the only SLR ever produced for 600-series film*. It utilizes the same sonar autofocus technology as the 100-speed SX-70 Time Zero Autofocus models but also features a built-in electronic flash. The flash reflector even tilts to accommodate focal distance.The SLR 680 sports a 4-element 116mm f/8 glass lens with a minimum focal length of 10.4 inches. It has an aperture range from f/8- f/22. Manual focus is possible via an override switch above the focusing wheel. The camera features a socket for a remote shutter release and also has a tripod socket and lugs for a neck strap.

Oh, and a stash of the new Impossible B&W Gen 2.0 film and a remote controle for the camera.

An Agfa Clack - purchased from a thrift store. Seems they were happy to reduce the price as the shutter didn't work.
Got it home, did some research as to how to remove the lens and 5 minutes later, I had a fully working camera. It's a delight to use!

I think your illness is called "rangefinder withdrawal syndrome"...after a while you haven't used a RF you are moved by the incontrollable need to get some.

Nice F2A. I have a black F2 eye level and a chrome F2AS that was serviced by Sover Wong 2 years ago. And I have a Soviet Jupiter 37a 135mm lens that has an interchangable rear mount that allows you to mount it on a Nikon or M42 body.

Thanks, everybody should get a Nikon F2 and a Canon F1 at one point in their lives IMO. For the 37a, I have one but ironically I never used it, I would like to try the Tair 11a but I can't find one at decent price.
